Hi 50's
I am 51 and have been with the program for 2 mos. I lost 13.4 lbs and weigh in is tomorrow. I am as determined as ever to lose this weight, and would love to keep the momentum going with conversation on the MB.
Anyone interested? We could send messages, that is an easy way to quickly check in and say hi!

What is giving you the toughest time?
I think our 50 plus year old metabolism makes it a little trickier to lose. I have included activity to speed it up a bit. I lost 16 lbs so far, I thought it would have been more by now but I am grateful for every lb I have lost!
You made the decision to start the journey, congratulations for that! And you lost wt and probably are paying attention to what you are eating so that is good. And you didn't gain, hooray!

Hi, I just turned 52 myself in March. No joke about the metabolism, wow! But, I am determined to not live by the scale only but every inch lost and how my clothes fit as well. This is the beginning of my 4th week and so far at the end of 3 weeks I have lost 9.0lbs. I had a stalled week and one where I gained .06, but overall I lost. I decided to raise my activity days from 3 a week to 5 days a week and it made a big difference! It took a while to get where we are so it will take some time to get on the other side of that (slow and steady wins the race).

Hang in all!

Hi,

I am a newbie to this group altho I have been on JC three times before. I have to agree between menopause and turning 50 my metabolism is like sludge! I restarted today and feel really good about it. What do you do about non supportive family members? I sure could use help on that.
