Anyone know of a good way to cook the mashed potatos and beef dinner? Tried it in the microwave when I first started and blehhhhhhh. Not awesome. Mashed potatos came out of the tray and onto my plate in a block. Don't know if anyone has tried the oven route or taken them out and done something else? This meal is on my menu again this week...

Thanks!

Add a little bit of milk of butter substitute to the potatoes halfway through cooking, and adjust your cooking time you may want to cook the potatoes less than the beef so they do no dry out.

You could also make some mashed cauliflower and mis it with the potatoes

I had the salsibury steak last night...with all my JC meals I usually microwave for about one minute and cook the rest in the oven...which I think helps a lot!!! Although, there weren't mashed potatoes in that meal...they were potato wedges....so not sure that helps any. When I have eaten the JC mashed potatoes I do add some seasoning and cook in the oven....they weren't too bad that way.

I smash up the potatoes part way with a little 95% fat free cream cheese and then have the whole thing over steamed cabbage.
