Tell yourself to back away from the kitchen, that it is CLOSED for business.......til tomorrow. Seriously, that is what I tell myself.....no if, ands or buts about it......get busy doing something to take food off your mind.

What I do is save one of my snacks for about an hour before bed time this way you can sleep away the hunger pains. I eat my dinner between 5 and 5:30, then I save an evening snack for 7:30 then I am in bed about 9:15.

Thanks!
I make some flavored herbal tea - like apple cinnamon - also helps get the water in!

I had the same problem, but now I have an evening routine that keeps me out of the kitchen at night. After dinner and dishes, I do a final straighten up of the house, then take a nice, hot shower. I put on my Crest white strips, slather on the body lotion (all the girly stuff) and blow dry/straighten my hair. By the time all that is done, it's bedtime. I grab some water to keep by my bed and read for a chapter or two. Then lights out.
It saves a lot of time in the morning because I don't have to shower then, and I don't have time for evening snacking!

I have NES so I absolutely HAVE to save 1-2 snacks for the evening/night. I try to save ONE fruit and one snack to balance it out. So far I've never gone over by dinner, I usually have about 200-300 calories left after dinner. I also space my meals out and in between will eat salads, soupatizers with extra veggies now and again. Not all the time. But I do try and keep myself satisfied and not get too hungry. Sometimes I even cut up carrots and celery and put them in a ziplock and just munch on them all evening long! If you have eaten all your foods and/calories.. go for veggies first if you can, don't worry about the extra calories they bring..
