unsure.gif Hi Everyone,

I'm still here but somewhat bummed out with the weater and my own mind. After much discussion with myself I went to my weigh in and lost a bit over a pound from the last weigh in. Honestly I am not very happy with myself so I went back to the preplan menu with the following resolution; eat only JC food for the next 7 days so that I have honesty with the nutritional side of the MM band. If I fail then I am seriously thinking about declaring maintenance and wean myself off the JC food. I just have to stop wasting my financial resources if my mind is not in it.

The workout sessions last week with the personal trainer went well and I am scheduled to work out tonight and Thursday with the trainer. This past Thursday I had another personal best from the MM band with 4 hours of activity and over 16000 steps. The only thing that is keeping my hope alive for achieving my goal is that I continue to exercise and I believe even with my fudging that I am running calorie deficits each day.

smile.gif Angela, congratulations with the Tea party and the next booking. I think I qualify for the Red Hat group but its kind of hard for me because I am still waiting to see what I will be when I grow up.

smile.gif Nancy, welcome back to full time work at the garden center. I totally understand about the cold weather though...spring left us over the weekend and this week got off to a blustry start. This is turning into an odd Cherry Blossom festival in Washington DC. In a way it kind of goes along with the mood in Japan these days after the earthquake but the flowers are pretty. Its like a promise of good things to come that life will go on. Ok I admit I am somewhat down today.

smile.gif Vickie I hope that things are continuing to run smoothly with your neice. Also I can relate to the lap top computer situation. Technology is great but when its not available it really throws a monkey wrench into the works. I just invested in a new Dell laptop to use primarily for church. The Comcast people are coming out on Friday to hook me up to their internet. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this will work out so that I will finally have a wireless network at home.

Well I have to run now and complete my morning prep before work begins so everyone take care and have a great Tuesday. biggrin.gif

Weigh in was the morning, stayed the same. That is fine, wish it would have been more but the same is better than a gain.

I have been able to keep up with my workout schedule.

My niece is doing very well. Her dad just bought her a car so I am sure she will be on the go! lol!! I am just so sad for her! Truthfully I am just at a loss for any kind of understanding in regarding my sister and her behavior in all of this! I wish I could get more in to what is going on but an online website might not be the best place to do it!

My laptop is still in the “shop”!! Hoping it will be ready today.

I better go, just not in the mood to write I guess!

Maybe tomorrow will be better!

Vickie

Evening Ladies,

Patty, Sending you hugs that you feel better, I know it's frustrating to just be hanging around the same number. But hey a pound is a loss so good for you. Give yourself some credit. How are your inches? I can't help but wonder about your body fat with the training. Perhaps your trading fat for muscle, that would be fantastic. Give your body time to adjust and catch up. Speaking of that are you getting enough sleep? I read an interseting article, that I can't locate of course, but it talked about how even your organs have to readjust when you lose weight. That one of the reasons that we can plateau, the body really does need time to catch up, it's not just a line to get you of of the cubicle in 15 mins or less. wink.gif Sorry to hear you're having the cold weather too, seeing the cherry trees bloom must be bitter sweet this year. I understand they are taking cuttings to send back to Japan.

Vickie, Glad your neice is doing well, she probably feels pretty restless with everything going on with her parents. I'm so glad she has you all. With all you have going on staying the same is great. It stinks when your laptop isn't working right, I'm lost without mine. I have to say sometimes I have used the JC journal just to vent to myself because I'm the only one that really sees it. Might be a safe place to blow off some steam. How have your exercise classes been going? My family can drive me crazy to the point where I just don't deal with them much, so I give you enormous credit and respect for being able to deal with your family. I'm thinking maybe a kick baoxing class would be right up your alley. How is your achilles tendon doing?

Well, Nothing like 10 hours moving iron to help you burn a few calories, get your steps in and your activity. laugh.gif So far today, 2400+ calories, 18700+ steps, 4:10 hours activity and that is without working out. Just work. I got a Go Fit Core disk today. I want to work on my balance and my core. I tried standing on it, not all that easy. I can't wait to get better at this disk. Well I'm pretty wiped out and due back at work early in the morning, ugh. Have a good noght and Wed. Take care.

Nancy

smile.gif Hi Everyone!

Ok my resolve to eat only JC food this week continues to hold and I experienced at non-scale victory yesterday. Sometimes my schedule demands that I can't make it home to eat dinner and I would make the excuse to stop by McDonalds. Well yesterday I brought my JC Lentils & Beef entree to work and microwaved it right before I left and placed the contents in a hot thermos bottle. Then I "had dinner" at church and kept on track with my plan. Also with changing my calories around during the day I am discovering that I am not famished on my work out days. I make sure that my salad lunch is packed with veggies & green stuffed olives along with my JC lunch entree. Then in the afternoon I make sure that I have some sort of high volume snack like carrots & during the drive to the gym I eat a 100 calorie pack of almonds. Its filling me up and giving me energy so when I hit the gym I'm ready to go. The crazy thing is that after I work out I am not crazy hungry but I always choose a dinner thats easy on the stomach. No meatloaf or salisbury steak but the lentils, the mac&cheese these seem to work better for me. Also I am drinking some of the the "athletic waters" with zero calories to help hydrate.

My workout went great Tuesday night and I finally got my official exercise log from my trainer so I can document my progress. Registered another personal best on Tuesday with 10 minutes of vigorous activity Yeah!! Still liking my trainer and I have come to the conclusion that this gym is not going to quiet down. Their rates are reasonable and I think thats why they have such a crowd.

smile.gif Nancy your work day seems like a work out. It must be great to be helping others grow things. I loved gardening because it provided such satisfaction when growth occurs. So love the spring time with the fresh green of new growth and blossoms on the the tree.

smile.gif Vickie, hope you get your lap top back and by the way congratulations on being latte free for so long. Way to go!

Ok have to "run" now and finish my prep before the work day begins. Its the last day of March and April 1st is tomorrow. Now I wish the weather would cooperate. Remember to move today and enjoy life. Take care!
With patience and perseverance I choose to pursue my goals.
