Hi Ladies! I just signed up for JS this past weekend and it's going pretty good so far. I'm getting married May 18, 2012 - so we still have some time, but it's nice to be able to spread it out and not have to stress!! I want to lose the weight now so that I can start trying on dresses soon and get an appropriate size; plus, I want to get to my goal well in advance so I can work on the lifestyle changes of maintaining it!

Anyway, I was just wondering if any of you are having issues with not feeling full on the plan. I'm 5'10", I weigh about 191lbs now, my goal is 155-160lbs, and I have a sedentary job so they put me on the 1200 calorie plan. If i start working out more I can probably get bumped up to the 1500 plan, but I need to work on my discipline to get there. While I think the food actually tastes great, it's definitely leaving me feeling unsatiated and stomach growling. I've been eating my allowable fruits, veggies, etc. but it doesn't seem to be helping with that "full" feeling.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions! And, obviously, share wedding details!

BEST OF LUCK TO YOU! I was on Jenny when I was a teen and lost a lot of weight (about 80lbs) I'm now 24 and getting married in 2012 also and thinking about joining Jenny again I'm 5'9 170 pounds but want to at least be 150 (which I was when I got off almost 10 yrs ago) I love Jenny food but also had a hard time staying full back then try lettuce with mustard I know it sounds gross but both have zero cals by the time I got off Jenny I was so in love with mustard and make sure you are drinking LOTS of water water makes you full faster and make sure when you get off you keep up with your water intake you can add some crystal light if you don't really like water but add as much water to each pack as you can stand. I currently don't have a job I just got off active duty (navy) last year so I do work out at least 4 times a week but when I was younger I didn't at all I promise you that if you do you will enjoy your body more after your all done my body looks like crap you won't catch me in a bikini ever!

Hi! Good luck! I'm getting married in 2012 too-- October 6! I'm definitely shorter than you (5'3" haha) and I'm at 202 right now. My goal is 150. I've always been curvy/ big chested, so I think I'm going to have to come to terms that I'll never be tiny, but I'm learning to embrace my curves.
Even though you have a sedentary job, look up exercises you can do in your seat (people won't even know you're doing them), like squeezing your glutes for an awesome tush haha! At lunch, go for a walk or run the stairs (it's quite the work out). I'm more of a walker myself, but I've run two 5ks as goals to work towards. I'm not fast, but it feels great to say I was able to do it!
As for the foods-- I agree with Tony-- water is such a key! I drink so much that when I'm at work, I'm afraid people think I have a bladder problem. But who cares if you're taking care of your body. Remember, it's all for you! I think my biggest problem is putting myself first, and it's easy to do, so I hope you're remembering to do that smile.gif

Random question-- the 518 at the end of your username-- are you from the Albany area, because I am, and that's my area code!

Best of luck!
Sarah xoxo

Congratulations ladies!

I too am getting married in 2012 (June 15). I started Jenny 3 weeks ago and have lost 18lbs. I have a long way to go. I am 5'10 and currently weighing in at 265. My goal is 155. I know I won't be there before my wedding, but I will be more than happy with under (or even just over) 200. I am currently healing from 2 fractures in my ankle and that has been very frustrating. I'm ready to start the whole package with food and workout.

I am doing at home as the closest center is 50 miles away. So far it has been going well. I feel like I am eating all the time between the meals and the snacks. I do have hard days on pizza day though. I'm am constantly hungry on that day. I think I associate pizza with gorging myself and therefore am not satisfied with a satisfied belly. I don't know if that makes sense.

I agree with drinking tons of water. It is very filling - even though you have to pee all the time! I have a pic of the dress I want on my phone and every time I get the urge to go find something to eat a look at it and I usually find that I'm not that hungry after all - so more water until meal/snack time smile.gif

My main issue is that my fiance is also obese and while he talks a big game about getting healthy, he still is living an unhealthy lifestyle. We live with his folks so it is hard to help him want to make the change.

Happy planning!

Jillarroo

Hello!! I just joined JC last night and today is my first day. I'm so ready for this! I'm so excited and I just can't hide it!! :D
I'm a 2012 Bride To Be (12/8/12) and I've finally found my motivation! I found the dress that I want badly and I refuse to order it so big! I have 80 pounds to lose and I'm hoping to meet that by my wedding date!
Are there any brides out there that post regularly? I need a bride buddy!

(fyi-sooner or later, I'll figure out this entire website! There's so much to read!)

Welcome to the boards carol!:)
I am also getting married but not until February 2013! Super exciting and scary at the same time considering i refuse to get married at this weight! I have lost quite a bit so far but still have about 30-40 pounds to lose before my wedding! with over a year to do it i know i will be at my goal by then! and you will too! I come on the boards everyday to keep myself on track and i suggest doing the same! There are so many wonderful people on these boards, so visit often and join in the conversations! I look forward to seeing you on the boards!:)
