Hi-I'm a 45 (soon to be 46 year old) mom of 3. I'm a returing member. I lost 15 pounds last time and made it to a normal weight for my height but really wanted to lose 30 pounds. Anyway, I'm back having gained the 15 plus more. I'm determined to stick with this program and transition from it the right way this time. I homeschool, so my challenges are that I basically live in my kitchen. I have not finished my first week but my jeans are already zipping up easier. I feel very positive right now but I know that it's not going to be easy. So, I would love some support.

Welcome back, Kikmama! I, too, am a returning member. I just finished my first week with a loss of 3.6 pounds smile.gif I left JC the last time when I was a few pounds short of my goal. I managed to keep the weight off for over 5 years....but gradually life and going back to old eating habits have caused me to gain back a good portion of what I lost. I am 48 with no children, so I don't have the added challenge of having to cook for others. Hubby is dieting with me, though he is not joining JC. My challenge is I am a VERY picky eater and have a really hard time finding foods that I like, so these first 2 weeks have been a learning experience...finding what foods I'll be able to eat. A lower back problem is preventing any exercise for the time being, so I am really happy with the first week loss.

Stay Positive and Good Luck to You!!

Hi Kikmama and welcome to the forums!

I like your positive attitude. You know you can do it, you did it before. You def. have the right frame of mind this time it seems.

You said you homeschool in your kitchen....why not try changing the classroom into another room of your house, that way you wont hear the whining whimpers of all those snacks. lol.
