Hi, I'm 40 and just joined JC 3 days ago. I just came back from my consultation and found out I lost 8 lbs so far. Is this weight loss normal? I weighed 216 at the start and now I weigh 208. I followed the menu to the letter and dropped drinking sodas and caffeine altogether. I see them again this Tuesday. He said I was real enthused and that I should be doing well. I'm just curious 4 weeks down the road what I would weigh.... any ideas? I'm 5'7" btw.

Welcome to the program! It is normal to lose that much weight your first week. You mostly lose water weight the first week, and then should taper down to that 1-2% per week, healthy weight loss. The kind that will stay off!

Hey Happy to hear you joined JC. This is a great program that really works. You had a great first week, congrats. I wouldn't expect that every week though. Usually the weight loss is steady, slow but sure. Nobody can really guess how much they will lose a month, I averaged about 8 pounds a month, I also had some weeks where I didn't lose anything at all. Just don't get discouraged because you will lose the weight as long as you follow the program. It also helps to come here for advice and encouragement. There are a great bunch of folks here!

Good luck on your new journey!!
