Where are you in ND? Welcome to JC. There are a great bunch of people right here on the boards that will give you support if you don't find anyone close by you.

Good luck on your new journey!

Hello! I'm from Fargo, ND and looking for a support buddy too!

This is my first time on a formal weight loss program... in the past I've tried calorie counting, or vigorous exercising, but always had issues piecing good meals together. Plus I never thought eating six times a day would benefit me. But it's working!

Hope to hear from you soon!

Hey Bean, I lived in ND for 18 years. I moved back home about 5 years ago. I lived up on the Canadian border most of the time, but spent the last 3 years in Grand Forks. I lived at the Forest Park Estates..I really liked it there. Swimming in the summer, I had my apartment right by the pool. Way cool!! Grand Forks is great, but oh the cost of living is high there smile.gif

Won't lie, I think living in the Great North kind of stinks... lack of job opportunities, giant mosquitos, flood season, and of course the awesome temperatures in the winter. :\

The only things that makes this area great are the people. Instead of neighbors they become family... it's wonderful to have another support system especially in times of need.

My family and I are hoping to move to Florida in ~3 years. I need to finish up my RN program before I can do that though.

Hey fellow ND-ers! I live in Fargo and have since March of this year - before that it was Grafton (where I grew up) for 5 years and Grand Forks for 9 years. And here I thought I was the only one in ND that was on the JC website LOL I'll probably live in this state all my life unless I meet a guy who wants to move somewhere else...I like it here except for the extremely cold winters! Brrr...today it's only in the 20's!
