I am very nervous and anxious to start this program. 8 months after having my son I am 30lbs. heavier than before I got pregnant. Its depressing because I weighed this much 9 months pregnant. These last 8 months I have been eating like crazy. I have totally lost track of portion control and lack of care for myself. But then I saw a commercial with Sara and how great she looks and I thought if she can do it I can. I am scared though because food is my friend and I have a love hate relationship with this friend. I hope I can stick to it. I know I have to for my son but sometimes food is like a drug that I can't resist.

As long as you follow the program you will lose weight. It is not so bad, just make sure you choose your snack wisely. I get my chocolate fix on the triple chocolate cheese cake yum!

You are making a big investment in this program..every time you feel like cheating just remember how much you have invested. You can also come here and the folks will help keep you honest smile.gif

Good luck to you on your new journey.

Thank you for your kind compliment. Yes, as hard as it was for me, I did exercise every day. I walk the treadmill for 30 minutes a day (which I just upped to 40) and I ride the recumbent bike for 15 minutes. I did follow the JC program exactly as they told me to do it. I am doing some days on my own now, and I think I am not doing so good, but we shall see on Monday when I weigh in. My waist went from 37 inches down to 30. (I never had a waistline, even at 110 pounds my waist is 29) and my legs (thighs) went from 22 1/2 to 19 1/2.

i was doing 1 hour to 2 hours of stairmaster / running & walking 5 to 6 days a week and that is what has stumped me - so maybe i should just walk for a bit - which is what i did when i was sick and dropped the weight fast.
And i should incorporate more strength training which is what i did last time i lost 50 pounds....
i have this thing in my head where i keep beating myself up b/c i had lost soooo much weight and was under 110 and then i got depressed about a situation and gained 50 pounds and then got pregnant and you know how that goes....
so far i am 142 maybe - b/c i have had an off week - again beating myself up!!!!
i have to learn how to STOP beating myself up and breathe and drink a glass of water instead of eating away my emotions!!!!

I walk because I cannot run. I have balance issues and vertigo. I wish I could run I use to be a sprinter and I do miss it. Don't every beat yourself up, just move forward and try your best to make thing better.

What I really found helpful during working out was streaming Netflix on my iPhone. I picked a TV show (one that had a hook to it, a Real Housewives or Veronica Mars) and would only allow myself to watch an episode while on the treadmill or elliptical machine. Wanting to find out what happens next was great motivation to get me to the gym.
