I was to receive my third shipment of food earlier this week. When it hadn't arrived by 6 p.m., I called to check on it. I was told I was not scheduled to receive my shipment until the following day, even though I had selected my delivery date online, had an e-mail confirmation, and had spoken to my consultant. Not once was I informed that I had chosen an unavailable date. I asked about the second half of the shipment and was told it was scheduled two days after the date I had chosen (and confirmed), an inconvenience which would have left me without Jenny food for a day.

Shipping costs also jumped from $65 to $92 without warning.

I am impressed by the food, but am very unhappy with Jenny Direct. I will be switching to a center, despite the inconvenience.

I mailed a small package to Texas the other day and was shocked when she told me 7.00. I was figuring 2 or 3 bucks...it is not a big deal, I just can't understand why the postal service claims they are in debt with the prices they are charging. I had a mix up on my food one time. Mine landed near a holiday and was shipped on friday when I requested Wednesday. Not a big deal. Sometimes a holiday or weather can interfere...just have to deal with it!

The shipping hasn't gone up; what happened it sounds like is that you had more frozen food than usual and it drove the charges up.

What happened it sounds like is that you ordered more frozen items than usuall; that causes the price to go up. wink.gif

The only time the shipping goes up is if you order more frozen which requires more dry ice. I looked into this with my consultant as I am a Jenny Direct client. I haven't seen my shipping costs go up and he thought that $92.00 was a bit extravagant when I mentioned what you have posted here. He said he has seen it go up in the $70's.

I upgraded my program and now get free shipping. I figured that the cost of the program was still cheaper than the shipping would end up being.

Premium success
I have 6 months to lose the weight and then 1 year on maintenance. If I maintain within 5 lbs up or down of my goal I get the money back, with some money back when I get to goal and some at the half way mark. I was paying over $70 in shipping so now the shipping is free for the whole time. I hope I chose wisely!

JC called me on Fri and offered the program with free shipping they said it was the last day to get it. Don't know if that was a gimmick or not. I had an issue with my order and talked to JennyCare today and she fixed my problem and commented on my free shipping. It sounds like they can take care of the problems better than the JCC.
Are you happy with the premium success plan?

well generally i am happy with the plan....but shipping has been an issue for me since day 1. i have had orders come late, they won't leave at my doorstep so i have to go pick them up from the depot, i have had orders sent to different provinces, every order seems to be an issue for me. so i am a little disappointed that i am paying for crappy shipping charges sad.gif

Call JennyCare and see if you can get free or reduced shipping, especially with all the issues you are having. It might be different in Canada. I get a prescription from Winnepig and shipping ha been cheap, it is in mail though. How long have you been on the program? I just started week 2. Like it a lot.

I am down 6.7 with13.3 to go. Am very happy with this loss in 8 days. I do the Leslie Sansone walking tapes,3 miles from those 6 days a week and more walking all day to get 10000steps. The DVD 's are aerobic and some use weights and bands. I take Sun off. I have time for all this because I am retired, grade 6 teacher. When I was much younger I spent time in Hamilton Ontario.
Is the food the same in Canada? Is the glycemic index included? I wish they would do that here.

i believe the food is the same, as it comes from the states. there are just a few things we can't get here that you guys have. same packaging and everything. i you doing the 20 for 20? i have quite a long way to go to get my goal...but halfway is in about 10. so far my zumba and running keep me busy, although i feel like i have slowed down in the weight loss. lately has been 1 pound, or maintain only. before way 2 or 3 pounds per week. would like to get it back up there again smile.gif

Just to let you know they are offering an upgrade now that if you are on a trial program now ex: 20 lbs for 20$ you will get free shipping on any 4 wk order as long as your program is current.
Call your consultant or e-mail them if you are interested; I think it runs from 5-6 to 5-14 but you'd have to check for sure.

I started JC three weeks ago on the $1/pound deal...

My consultant just emailed me the following and I ended up signing up for this...hope it was a wise decision...
Here is what she sent me:

I wanted to share an exciting opportunity with you that will help you in reaching your goals. Click on the link below to learn more about our two premium program options that provide you with more tools, maintenance, savings off your menu and products, and 100% of your money back when you maintain your weight for a year. And, if you take advantage of one of them this week, you’ll receive FREE Shipping on your 4 week orders as long as your program remains active!

How it works if you sign up for the Premium Success Program, is that we continue providing weight loss consultations until you get to your goal weight. The 6 month membership would begin as soon as you sign up, so if you joined today, it would go into effect May 12 and wouldn’t expire until November 11, 2011. If you reach your weight loss goal in the next 6 months (which you will!), we will renew your membership for you for free for 1 full year, where you will then receive maintenance consultations to ensure you stay at your goal weight. Once you reach your goal weight and stay there for 1 full year, we will then refund your entire membership fee of $299 and send that back to you in the form of a check. The only requirements are that you stay within 5 lbs (above or below) your goal weight for the 12 months and have 12 monthly maintenance consultations. There is no obligation to continue purchasing the food once you reach your goal weight.

As far as the other discounts are concerned, your shipping fees will be waived for the lifetime of your active program, as long as you create 4 week orders (like we did this last time), which saves you $65 per month. Your very next 4 wk order after joining the premium program, you receive $50 off your order. So the $50 off plus the $65 savings in shipping will save you $115 right away on your next food purchase.
Next, once you reach your halfway weight, which is halfway between the weight you are when you join the premium plan, and your goal weight, you will receive another $50 off coupon towards your menu plan.
All in all, here are the discounts you will receive:
$50 off your next food purchase
$50 off your halfway food purchase
$299 back after maintaining your weight for one year
FREE SHIPPING on all 4 wk food purchases

So although the program cost is $299, you get the full amount plus more back, so we end up paying you to lose the weight and keep it off!

Anyway...I hope I made the right choice. I will get $50 off my next food purchase and free shipping...so that seems like a good deal...
Jen
