I just started today after trying on my own and being unsuccessful to lose the 40 lbs I need to drop. I am so excited and I keep picturing myself fitting back into my favorite jeans...and tucking in my shirt! I will do whatever it takes cause I have had it with being uncomfortable in my clothes. I know that at 51 it will take longer than when I was younger so I will hang in there!

I am also 51. I had 25 pounds to lose. I started the program Oct. 3rd and I am hoping to hit goal tomorrow. I shall stand on the scale and see. So lets see 25 pounds in a little over 3 months, not so shabby! You sound like you really have your head in this. Keep up the wonderful attitude, do what they say and you will be zipping those jeans in no time smile.gif

Thanks for the message, lets stay in touch. We can help each other keep on the right track!
I also starting walking on a treadmill for 30 mins a day, 3 days so far. I want to not only lose weight but be heart healthy too. Have you included any fitness in your program?

Thanks for the encouragement. You look great, you must be so proud. I look forward to the day I hit goal. By the way, your grandbaby is ADORABLE!

oops, the grandbaby was meant for the post after you, newbie mistake.
It's nice to see someone that is my age that is doing so well, very encouraging to me. Peri-menopause has definitely thrown a wrench into things!

I joined on 9/14/10. I needed to lose 45 lbs and I am 54 yrs. To date, I have dropped 40.2 lbs. I felt the same was as you. I would do what it takes to lose the weight. I stuck with the program and it is working for me. I believe that mindset is half the battle. Sounds like you are going into this with a positive attitude, so stick with the program and watch the weight come off week after week. Best of luck to you

Hey Middleaged, As long as you have your mind in the right place your journey will go great. You picked a great program, I have tried a few and the only one that worked for me was JC. The people on the board are great here also, very nice folks! They are here to help any way they can. Keep your confidence up, follow the program as your JC tells you, post often and you will do fine smile.gif

Here is a link to help you creat a ticker step by step.

http://www.jennycraig.com/forum/index.php?...62024361&hl=

As far as a pic goes, you will need to use Photobucket or any image hosting site to upload your pics and get an IMG code to paste in. Its way more simplier than it sounds.
