Thanks for the kind words, Melissa & Patty! smile.gif Wow, Patty, it sounds like you're doing great with your activity and exercise! I can't wait until I can get some activity in.... hopefully by Monday! I love to drink iced tea, but I'm having trouble finding a good sweetener. Any ideas? I've pretty much tried all the usuals.

I'm new here and have been on Jenny for a few weeks now. Have lost 6lbs as of last week and have my next weigh in tomorrow. Trying to lose 70+ since I quit smoking almost 4 yrs ago.

I drink Crystal Light - they do have ice tea flavors - you might want to try it. No calories and you get lots of water in. I water mine down just a bit to get even more water and less sweetener.

Thanks so much, Stasia, for the Crystal Light idea! Congratulations on your weight loss! I have about 70 lbs to lose myself. Good luck!

Hi Stasia it's nice to meet you! I'm in the same boat as you with the amount I want to lose (started with about 75 to drop). It sounds like you are off to a great start!

Roberta,

Other than Stasia's suggestion of Crystal Light, I'm not really sure. I do like a variety of flavors from CL, although I haven't tried their teas.

This past week was a great one for me. I lost 4.4 pounds! biggrin.gif I amazed myself. lol That & the 2.6 from the previous week makes 7 pounds gone in just two weeks!! I know this trend will not continue forever, but I'm loving it while it does. I had to switch days for my consultation & weigh-in this week, due to my work schedule so I'm going in tomorrow instead of Saturday. I know that means I won't even come close to where I was at Saturday's weigh-in, but next week I will be back to the regular weekly visit, so it should be a more encouraging weigh in.

I've started riding my bike & other than the "saddle sores" I'm really enjoying it. With gas prices the way they are right now, I think I'm going to be making some good use of my bike this summer!

I hope you all have a great week! I'll check back in again soon. smile.gif

Everyone is doing fantastic here. I had to chime in. I am officially back. I started last March and finished in August. I was about 5 pounds from my goal. I am back to get rid of that 5 pounds plus more.

However, this is my 3rd week and it will be completed on Friday. I lost 3 pounds the first week, it was up .9 last week, and this week the scale doesn't look like it is budging. I think I need to really get the workouts in. Twice weekly walks aren't going to do it, I guess...

What I wouldn't give for a 72 degree pool right now. I live in the midwest and it is still cold here. At least our 24 inches of snow has melted. Spring is right around the corner for me!! Keep up the great work everyone!!
Heidi

Hi Heidi,

I have found that most of my weight is dropping off because of exercise. I wasn't doing much before I started JC, but something in the JC food (& my B12 vitamin) has really given me that get up & go. I always had a high metabolism as a kid & in my early adulthood. I lost it all in my 30's & when I put on the weight. I am trying to make sure I do something (walk my dogs, bike ride, swim) every day. Sadly, my 72 degree pool has dropped a few degrees, so I haven't been in this week (I know, y'all don't want to hear about our 'cold' Florida weather... lol).

Hi SuzeeQ,

Green Tea has caffeine in it, so that may be what is giving you the boost. I was drinking that for a while, a few years ago. It got my husband & I both broken of the Mountain Dew habit! Unfortunately I lost my taste for it after a while. That's just me, though... I tend to lose interest in different foods/drinks if I have them too much.

Have a great weekend everyone! I'll be back on here after my weigh-in Wednesday. smile.gif

Ok, it's been a crappy week for me. I guess they can't all be good ones right? My weigh in last Wednesday was not as great as I was hoping for. I had only lost a pound. Granted it was still a loss, so I'm heading in the right direction, but I would have liked to see better. On the up side, I was able to fit into a pair of pants I haven't been able to wear in at least a year! That made me feel a bit better. smile.gif

I hope you all are having a good week.

Thanks! Yes, it was a great feeling. smile.gif Another 1.6 pounds gone this past week. Due to bills & their impecable timing, I wasn't able to afford my JC food this week, so I'm on my own trying to make healthy choices. I've been sticking primarily to Lean Cuisines, I just have to make sure I drink more water to flush out the extra sodium. I won't know until next Wednesday how I did, but I'm keeping up my exercise and hoping for the best!
