Well, congrats on getting that decision made. I am sure you will be happy with your choice. As long as you do what they tell you, you will lose the weight.

Hi I am new to JC also two days in and I really need all the support I can get. I just got selected for a two week jury duty and its been difficult getting all the food in during the day. Dont think the judge would appreciate me taking out a everyday bar and apple in the middle of court. So therefore I am starving when I get out. I am hungry anyway still getting used to the restricted calorie diet. I live in the southern NH area and would really like some new buddies.

Hi, Kelley!
I am new to JC as well! Actually...not! I have just come back to Jenny Craig, as I fell away from the plan before getting to my ideal weight. I am back and am going to use all the tools provided including this to be sure that I am doing everything I can to stick to it and be as successful as "reddyrawks" and "Blessed4Life2" have been! (Way to go, Ladies!)
Kelley, and "jay66", let's do it!!
BTW, it is -26 degrees today where I am. I live about 70 miles from the Canadian border in the Midwest....lots of snow and lots of days stuck inside!
I look forward to connecting with you!

Good Luck to everyone! It DOES work!
Hi rrhea!
I just joined for the first time & am so happy to hear a previous success story. I do know how life can get to you & bring the weight back on, but I'm sure if you were successful once you will do it again! I'm with you on the increased meals & the choices. It's been kind of weird for me to get used to eating every few hours & I'm finding that some of the meals I have aren't the greatest. One the other hand, I have found a few that I really like. My biggest challenge is getting motivated to exercise & staying away from the food my family is eating. I just remind myself of my goal & it does help. I also have back issues & recently developed a pain in my left foot. This hinders me when trying to walk, so I am limited in available exercise. I am going to dust off my yoga & pilates DVDs. I don't know if yoga or pilates would work for you with back trouble, but it's a thought.
Good luck & welcome back to JC!

Thank you for the exercise ideas! I have never tried Yoga or Pilates. I WILL be checking into both of these to see if either (or both) will work for me. I'll let you know. I guess I am lucky (??) that it is only my husband and I at home. He is joining me on my weight loss journey, though he is not joining JC, so having to cook for others and limit myself is not an issue. I can imagine how hard that would be.

My difficulties lie in the fact that I have two teenagers who eat a lot and continuously! My husband is a good ol' country boy, who loves all the fattening home cooking that I really should not be eating. That was part of my downfall over the past five years since I've known him. He somehow has not gained an ounce eating all that stuff.
I tried losing weight for our wedding last year, but wasn't very successful, so I knew I really needed to get serious. The older I get, the more risk I have for health issues, so here I am. I have found more support here in just a week than I have ever gotten before.

Thank you! As far as the snow bank... been there done that! I grew up in Michigan. I braved the "chilly" pool with my swim suit, my husband (who grew up in Orlando) had to put on his wet suit to go in! LOL

Reddy, Congrats! You look fabulous!
Thanks Roberta! I'm finding willpower I didn't know I had!! As for the exercise, my JC consultant told me to start taking a multivitamin daily. I am taking Women's One a Day Active (orange box with green writing) & B12 & my energy has really improved. I have been in the pool every day this week. I walked my dogs for 20 minutes yesterday, then hit my treadmill for another 20. My foot never bothered me (until later). I am using the Metabolic Max & it said I did over 10,000 steps yesterday (not including my swimming). I was pretty impressed with that. Unfortunately today I have to go to work, but if I get a chance I'm going to get a walk in.
Congratulations on your loss! That's great!! I hope all goes well for you on Thursday!
