Hi I just started the program today. It seemed a bit overwhelming. I want to lose about 25 lbs. Any advice for what I should do? Thanks. biggrin.gif

Hi Luna....welcome to the forums!

I would say just take it one day at a time. Dont try to read ALL ur materials all at once, a little at a time.....that way you can process the info without feeling overwhelmed.

Lastly, CHILLAX!!!!... Jenny has already done all the thinking for you and all you have to do is eat what is on ur menu, drink ur water and get to moving......thats it!!! Its a very simple plan....it works when followed as intended.

I agree with what was said before. I am about your age and have been on Jenny for about 3 months. The biggest advice I can give you is stay on the plan and be sure to drink the water. I can really tell when I haven't had enough water. To start I recommend just trying to stick with all of the food. As you get comfortable with the menu try to start adding in exercise. smile.gif Just my 2 cents.

Welcome Luna! I'm on my 7th week of the program and am 26. +1 to the advice above! I bring my refillable water bottle almost everywhere I go. I've developed a love of water on JC, which sounds silly, but I was drinking a lot of sodas etc before. I buy a big bag of baby carrots each Monday, and put them in ziploc bags so anytime I'm feeling the need to nibble on something, I have no excuses and go straight for them :-) Also, coming to these message boards and reading all the inspiring stories from fellow forum members is TREMENDOUSLY helpful!

Hi Michelle,

I am newbie to the program, just finished my first week, and I came across your post. One thing that has been helping me get through not eating the food my mom prepares in the house is to eat a JC meal similar to what she is eating. For example my mom cooked spaghetti and meatballs for dinner, I heated my JC spaghetti and meatballs put it on a plate with a lot of salad and I was no longer craving her food because I had the same thing, just a healthier portioned version! Hope this helps and good luck smile.gif

Hey, I'm a 26 year old mom, I lost 25lbs on JC 4 years ago, then a wedding and 2 babies later and I am now trying to lose 40lbs to get back to pre pregnancy weight. I have a 4 month old baby at home and have resigned up to JC this is almost the end of my first week and my tips that have helped me a lot are, add tons of veggies to your dinners- I add one can of string beans which is a free food, you could add any free veggies and it helps fill you up. Also i agree with the comment about putting the food once you heat it up on a plate and add your veggies to the plate and it's more satisfiying that way. i spread out my meals so i'm never starving and when i get tempted I just think of summer and how badly i want to wear my old clothes and buy a new bathing suit! I know JC works from past experience, you just have to stick with it and know that you will get to goal sooner than you think, just keep on keeping on and don't look back. i feel great already and its only been 1 week back in! Also they're not kiddin about the water what a difference it makes, I am trying to wean myself off the diet soda its not easy, but drinking the water has made me feel fuller longer and just better in general. Its all about enjoying your meals by taking your time eating them. I'm excited to be back, good luck! you can do it!

Hi I'm 25 as well, I'm also looking for a buddy to motivate me as I have 90 pounds to lose. I only need 86 more to go. I'm traveling this week for business so I'm DREADING getting back on that scale to see how much I've gained (if I've gained anything). I'm doing my best to eat well while I'm traveling.

Good luck to all of you. If you have aim feel free to add me samnfrodo01 just tell me you're from Jenny Craig otherwise I might accidentally block you.

Congrats NYmom413 on the babies! I'm trying to lose weight and be healthy so my husband and I can consider starting a family. I agree with eating slower and really tasting your food. If you gobble up your food you can A barely taste it B you can't get those receptors telling you you've eatten too much since it takes 15-20 min to trigger and C because of that you tend to OVER eat alot more than you would have. Baby bites if you have to is another good tip.
