I've been on Jenny for about 9 weeks now. I've had success for the first 8 weeks losing 11 pounds.
The last week I've been on a full blown binge! One day last week I was feeling hungry at work. I had no snacks around except for some cookies, which I give to my students, who do not have a snack. I gave into the cookies (like 5 of them). I'm an all or nothing type of dieter, so I went full force ahead eating a ton of other snacks after work. This has resulted in days of eating and gaining 5 pounds at weigh in...YIKES!!! sad.gif

My JCC has given me great advice, and I felt motivated last night to get back on track. I was on track this morning, but I was tempted by sweets at school (leftover snacks from Thanksgiving parties). Once again, I went for them. I didn't feel confident enough to stay away from them. I don't know how to get myself motivated and back on track. Any advice? I'm afraid this type of eating will continue for days and days. Thanks in advance for any advice!!!

Yikes...dieting is such a head game! Is there anything else going on that's causing stress for you? I know for me there's usually a trigger of some sort. Something going on that I'm not emotionally able to deal with.

As for advice, I suggest distractions...things you love to do that have nothing to do with eating. As strange as it sounds, for me that's baking/cooking. I've been working all day on prepping for Thanksgiving, and nearly forgot to eat lunch! My mind is busy planning, organizing, my hands are busy peeling carrots, rubbing the turkey with salt and spices to dry brine, making stock out of the giblets, making pie crusts, dinner rolls, roasted cranberry sauce...all stuff that needs doing, but nothing that needs tasting! wink.gif

So, how about you? Knitting, sewing, crafting, painting, reading, giving yourself a manicure...whatever will keep your mind busy and your spirits high is the key.

Hang in there...you know you can do this!

Thanks for your response, Denise! You're absolutely right about finding distractions. When I'm busy, I don't have the time to think about food as much. I've gone shopping, cleaned the house, and painted my nails. Sometimes, my mind wanders, and I think about the food. I have to learn not to go for it.

I think part of the binging has been due to the fact I've been a little bored with eating the same foods daily. I love the Jenny meals and that doesn't seem to be a problem. I think it's because of the fruits and veggies. I'm not a big fan of fruits this time of year, so I'm eating apples, oranges, and bananas ALL the time. Also, I'll eat all of my limiteds most days, and if I'm hungry I'm left to snack on a free which is carrots. I don't know any other veggies I like (without dressing or butter), and I'm getting bored of just eating carrots.

Another issue might be I bought pants in a new size about 3 weeks ago...yippe!!! smile.gif If I continue losing the weight consistenly, I'll be down another pants size in about 2 months. I'm looking forward to dropping another size, but I don't want to spend money on all new pants.

Have a great Thanksgiving, everyone.
