To set the record straight.....I am 5'8" and a size 6 and I can tell you someone of my size weighs 135 to fit into a size 6 jeans. If I was in my 120s I would wear a size 4. I have the same build as Sara Rue. So to put the rumors at rest I can confidently say....if she says on her blog that she wears a size 6 then she is somewhere close to 135 pounds.

To suggest she is 115 pounds is ridiculous. I would be a size zero if I weighed 115 pounds. Models on America's Top Model are not 115 pounds they are more like 119 pounds to 120.

She doesn't look like America's Top Model.

Besides she can't go below 125 pounds for her height. It would go against what Jenny Craig counselors have told me my acceptable wieght is for my height. What kind of role model would she be if she did that?

One of my favorite things about Jenny Craig is that their spokespeople look HEALTHY!....none of them look like they are anywhere near being anorexic. Look at Marie Osmond....she's 5'5" and weighs only 115 pounds, which I think is terribly thin. She is only .5 away from being considered underweight by the BMI chart, and if you think that those charts were created many, many years ago and our body frames have gotten larger over time(a doctor client told me this) then she is VERY thin and to me not healthy looking. Remember also, that photographs add 10 pounds to what we think someone looks like.

Everyone is different. Body builds and chemistries are different. Personally, I'm 30 lbs over the weight I "need to be" according to the BMI scale, but I feel fantastic and I get gawked at whenever I walk into a room, so I'm sure I do not look overweight.

To clear up a few things, here is what Ms. Rue says about her weight:

QUOTE
"Oh, and Rue Crewers, I noticed that a number of you were commenting on a weight that a magazine had printed about me. The lesson: don't believe everything you read because that weight is false. I NEVER give out my weight because I know that every body is different and the last thing I want is for people to obsess about hitting a certain number on a scale based on what I have done. Here are the facts that I've given out: I am 5'8" and when I started I was a tight 14 and now I am a comfortable 6*. According to my consultant, I'm at healthy weight for my height and build and that was what I was striving for from the very beginning."

It's important to understand that the number that you weigh is not important, it's how you feel that is important. People have this weird obsession with weight numbers that I have never understood. It's damaging to a lot of people, because they obsess over it.

The best advice I have in your weight loss journey is to break that connection you have with your ideal number. It's wonderful to have a goal in mind, but do not let it consume you. If you obsess over being a specific number, or obsessing over other people's ideal numbers, it will only lead to needless stress.

Find where you are happy, and don't stress. If you continually make the right choices, and make yourself accountable, you will succeed.

Sara is such a motivating factor for me. There has just been something very real and honest about her journey that I've connected to and she just looks stunning! Not that she wasn't stunning before as well.

You can't go by one person. I'm 5' 8" as well and I wore size 4's at 150..i fit my size 6's comfortable between 160-155..

All she'll allow us to go by is that she's a size 6 but she could weigh anywhere from 163 to 130
