I just wanted to post a tip - I have been replacing my daily lettuce and spinach saldads with "cole slaw" mixes and "Broccoli Slaw" mixes.. My co-workers think I have the best looking salad around! I was tired of lettuce and spinach all the time - so chose to "mix it up" with these.

I have also been tossing these "slaw" items into my cooked veggies for crunch and satiety.

It has been working for me immensely. Hope this helps beat the "doldrums" of lettuce every day.

OMG, I have been on a broccoli slaw kick for the past month! I toss it on top of everything. I find it so convenient and ready to go. It just goes with anything.

Is this something you get pre-made at the store or make? Not sure I know what broccoli slaw is, but am always looking for ways to up my veggies. Thx.

Margie

It is all pre-chopped up in bags in the produce section of the grocery store. You can toss it in salads or make coleslaw which is how I made it over the summer for the family.

It's good try it.

I love slaws, particularly broccoli slaw, but I haven't tried this since I've been doing Jenny -- cool idea!

Question: Do you use any kind of dressing, and if so, which kind?

Thanks!

Broccoli slaw is a really good idea, I would think any dressing would go well with it.

Hi I do add a serving of low fat or fat free dressing - any kind - italian, balsamic vinaigrette or whatever your favorite is.

I also toss in cucumbers, tomatoes and maybe some onion and use this to replace my lettuce salad a few times a week.

Its so nutritious and a great way to get raw veggies into your diet.

it is also faboulous sautee'd with chicken broth or a spritz of PAM for your main veggie. I have used it once as a swap for pasta using this method...Very good.

I love the convenience of just pulling a handfull out of a bag. No chopping needed.
