Hey, I'm Jen and I'm from Portland. I've been dieting off and on and off with various bouts of extremity since I was like 12. I'm on my way to losing 50lbs and being the lightest I've been in my adult life! I am tired of getting a comfortable weight and then stopping. so I signed up for one year on Jenny and have lost 7lbs so far. Just a bit about me...What about you?

WOW!!! hello, i was worried i was all alone out here in OREGON.. Well me too, diet and restriction then give up and eat, then starve then try something else.. talk about life around food. so for me some of this program, no alot of this is to learn how to eat!!! portions and different kinds of food, Like take chicken i would only eat plain baked chicken, never in a sauce, or pasta gosh if i ever let myself it would turn into 3 servings.. then i would feel guilty n not eat except salads for 3 days, be starving and and again the sam e old routine. so this is great!! i am actually eating foods!!1 weight loss, wel ive had the same 10-12 pounds forever, that i would like to loose, so that maybe i can actuallu put on my jeans and fell like they are too tight all the time. so thats my motives. I work as a nurse, have 3 daughters, 2 dogs, 3 cats, a rabbit, oh yes and a great husband. busy life. I like going to the beach, reading, exercise to a point, i really love to shop!!!!!. I really like the jc forums/ so i started on nov.6th so this is just starting week 4. i am so glad to hear from you

Well good to hear from you all! I now only have 32 lbs to lose! Woohoo down 18! Now when I "overeat" it's totally on veggies....I just got this totally delicious Light Salsa Ranch dressing this week and have been having amazing salads and carrot sticks with dressing for a snack (I'm careful to keep it within my 3 extra points).

Also today I skipped my milk in the morning and had a FANTASTIC salad of light ceasar dressing and some fresh parmasian cheese....yummmm....

I am so excited and can't wait to keep on my journey! I'm really loving how I feel, so much energy now that I have eliminated junk food...simply wonderful!

Good luck to all of you! Go Blazers!

Hello Oregonians! I just started JC last week, so today is day 6 and I've already lost over 1 pound. I just moved to Oregon from Arkansas to be with my finace who's getting his Masters. I really love Oregon so far and I think JC is really going to make a huge difference in getting me to my 60lbs weight loss goal. Can't wait to hear more about your JC successes!

Hi to my fellow Oregonians. I'm a native Oregonian, born in Salem, grew up in Portland and now live in Roseburg. Have been on JC home style. Didn't do well. This time I decided to go to Eugene and have a consultant I could see face to face. I think it was a good choice.

Having lots of trouble with veggies. don't like salad, because fat free dressings are too vinegary. I need something mild and creamy. I'd like a vegetable dip as well. I would be very grateful for suggestions. rolleyes.gif

Karen from Eugene here. Just started back to Jenny today and not a moment too soon. I'm all pumped up and ready to go.

If there is anyone in my neck of the woods looking for a walking buddy let me know. This is a great time of year to be outside welcoming another beautiful Oregon spring. I love spring. We're all going be be feeling really good about ourselves this summer and our bodies are going to be thanking us.

Met my new Jenny lady today, I like her a lot. I feel like it's my first day at camp or something. I couldn't watch Carrie Fisher melt in front of me, I want to be right there with her.

Best wishes to everyone. We can do this!
Karen

Pat from North Portland, but my son lives in Sheridan, so I spend a lot of time down there. Just started JC this week (Tuesday), and I'm blown away with how tasty the food is! A long time ago (30 years) I did Nutri-systems and lost about 20+ pounds. So I tried it again about 8 years ago and was horrified at how awful the food was! Whoever changed their food formula must have been asleep in the lab!

I love the food with JC and was even motivated to walk 2 miles this afternoon. It is a snow day, so I didn't have to teach today. Then, this afternoon, the snow melted and the outside temps reached the mid-40's. Figured it was a good day to go for a walk. Would love to hear from anyone in this area. I am doing the JC At Home.

Hi, I'm from Central Oregon and am almost done with my fourth week. I am down about 15 lbs from the start. Last week I gained 1.4 lbs . sad.gif I always start really fired up but lately there have been lots of birthday parties (cake) and dining out events that I couldn't get out of. I am still having a hard time navigating any of those situations. I am fine if I stay in and only eat Jenny foods but I am not equipped for being out there in social situations and making good choices.

I want to lose about 60 lbs total so I have a long way to go. I have 3 kids, homeschool, and help run our family business so my life is always chaotic. It would be nice to have some accountability and support on a daily basis. I have tried so many other programs in the past and even tried Jenny after my second child was born but quit after a few months. I usually get down about halfway and then end up quitting. This time I want to actually accomplish what I set out to do.

I am on the 1700 calories per day right now. What about you guys?

Hey I'm from portland! this will be my second weigh in tomorrow and I admit I weighed myself on sunday and after losing 4lbs! the first week I gained some back again. do you find you guys gain more weight at certain times of the month? I really haven't changed my diet much from the week before so I was trying not to get discouraged.
Besides that ... Love the food, love eating fruit and getting my veggies in and there's just so much freedom with jenny craig. my family gets hungry every time they see me eating the jenny food.

Seems like a while since anyone has replied to this forum. I'm currently doing nutisystem and hate it. Thinking of switching.

Hey Linda - WELCOME to Jenny!!

While I don't live anywhere near Medford (I live in Ohio) my Mom In Law lives in Grants Pass. When we went to visit this summer we flew into Medford and immediately went from the airport to the JC center to pick up my food for the week we were there. I LOVED the gals that worked at your center. They seems as though they really cared about me even though I wasn't going to be a regular client. I forget the name of the JCC I talked to, but I really liked her a lot.

Your area is just beautiful!! If my kids weren't all here in Ohio, I wouldn't hesitate moving there in a heartbeat!!

I'm from outside of Roseburg and just finishing my first week on the Jenny At Home program. I wish there was a centre close by, since I think it would be nice to have a "real person" to check in with, but I don't think I can justify 160 mile roundtrip every week. I'm curious to hear what everyone thinks, though... is it worth the time and expense to see someone in person?

I'm having a rough time with the Jenny Cuisine - I work as a fine dining chef, so my tastebuds have been seriously spoiled :) . I'm determined to lose the weight, though, and I'm always happy to eat my veggies, so I'm sure I'll be fine.
