I have been very health conscious and aware for awhile now. I've cut things out and cut back on eating/ drinking certain items. By doing this I was able to loose 30lbs. However now I am stuck. I am swaying back and forth. I am at one weight and have been stuck here now for 4 months. I may go up or down a pound but that's it.. I'm stuck!
I have an elliptical and I use it on occasion, but my energy is just down so low! It's hard to keep up the momentum to focus and do a 30-40 min work out. I've tried kickboxing, Tae-Bo, yoga, dancing, etc. Nothing keeps me interested. I joined a gym, made friends with a trainer.. but just don't have the energy to go and train. I need a system I need a way to build the energy.
I have the drive and the knowledge to do what's needed, I just need the extra boost of engery and will power to get myself going. I want to be non-stop and aware all the time!
I often do great for a wk or 2 and loose a good amount, if I loose I keep doing better.. then I gain, or have a bad weekend, have relationship issues, a fight with someone, or some piece of clothing doesnt fit. Then I go spiraling downward.. I eat everything I can, sweets, bread, food, anything! I just go into the “i don't care” mode.
I am thinking about joining Jenny Craig or Nutrisystem and getting the food sent to me. I am single so the fact of having a months worth of food in my home set and ready to go minus the fruits/dairy is great!
I need support, I need guidance, I need acceptance.
Can anyone help?? Feel free to respond here or email me at: Mkelb2004@gmail.com
Thanks!!

You have to take things one day at a time and be willing to endure the journey, the good - the bad - the ugly - and all parts in between.. and to find it within yourself with help and guidance to deal with the other stuff- the emotional baggage, relationship issues, stress, etc. in healthy non-food related ways.

Hi there,
Its been a little while now since you first posted your msg, but I was curious to see what the outcome was.. Did you decide to jump on the wagon?
Reading what you read I definately could hear myself in the words. Like yourself I always seemed to do ok the first little while and then would lose interest in the excercising, or would have some issue going on that would make me think.. whats the point, and in turn have a one on one with the kitchen.. eating anything and everything that was there for the taking. -got me nowhere- so i totally understand where your frusteration comes from.
You did mention that you were considering jenny or nutrisystem, and just incase you havent made a decision yet.. heres my 2 cents (as ive tried nutrisystem and am currently on jenny).
nutrisystem is definately a cheaper program to be on (cost wise) and its convienent to have the foods shipped right to your door.. but taste wise.. eekk.. if you like freeze dried foods that require being mixed with water and heated then ok.. but really who does?!? alot of the foods have a weird taste too..which im sure is the preservatives in them.. yuck.
as for jenny the foods are prepackaged for convienence but are more like the dinners you can get at the grocery store and are far better tasting. also for the cost of jenny yes its a bit more but you get support from a jc consultant and know theres someone to talk to (face to face) if you need to (as aposed to a phone service)
also you have all of us here on the forums that will help you whever we can.. since we are all in the same boat.
I hope you were able to make a decision, and hope your doing well with your journey.
If not, I at least hope my 2 cents gives a better description of the 2 plans.

My name's Tristyn and I'm 27. I read over your post and I had to double check that it wasn’t me that originally wrote it.
I have been in the same boat as you for the last couple of months. I joined Jenny 2 years ago and did well however started to slip, losing a pound here and gaining one there. Similar to you I am triggered by relationship issues, a bad day, or not feeling confident about my clothing or the way it fits. I realized that I needed to work on why these issues triggered me so much. Not until then did I actually start to see a difference. I ended up taking a break from Jenny several months ago and did well on my own but rejoined (today actually) to get myself back on a steady track now that I am in a better place emotionally (Broke up with the controlling boyfriend, cleared out my cupboards and made some little changes here and there).
Similar to you, I struggle with staying motivated when it comes to activities. I know myself and I know that if I try to start a running program, I won't stick to it. So to keep things interesting I do something different every time. If I'm out walking the dog, I take a different route every time. Or instead, I'll take on a Jillian Michael's DVD (Yoga Meltdown is Killer). I know that if I do something different every day (and do something every day consistently!) I will stay motivated. And even if I am not doing as much as I did the day before, at least I have done something. Even if its just power cleaning the house.
A trainer once told me after completing a cardio step class at 6am one morning, "You have done more in this 30 min then most people will do all day." I try to keep that in mind when I am feeling like not doing anything. As long as I do something....I've done more then the majority of the population out there.
If you every want to chat Megan or have any questions about the "Jenny Craig Experience", feel free to give me a shout (tristynm@gmail.com). I understand how hard it can be sometimes.
I hope it all works out for you
Try to stay positive hun

The day after I started JC this time around, I went onlin and looked up weight loss inspirational quotes on google. I found a couple different sites and cut and pasted about 30 quotes that meant something to me. During the day when I have a free moment at work at t an appointment. I'll pull out the list and re-read it.
Here are some that have realy helped me.
"Discipline is remembering what you want".
"When one approach is not working to reach the desired goal, that's not a reason to abandon the goal. Instead, it is time to devise another approach."------Ralph Marston
"If you want what you do not have, you must do what you have not done".
"Quitting is NOT an option".
Working a full time job, I find it really hard to exercise myself. So far in 4 weeks I've lost 13.8 pounds and only exercising twice. ( Yep I'm embarrassed to admit this but it is true ). I know soon I'll hit a plateu and just eating according to the JC plan is not going to get me the results I want. Still, I know I'm way ahead of where I'd be if I never started the JC program. I do try to hit the stairs more ( hard in 3-4 inch heel with briefcase), I park my car a little farther away than I used to to get in extra steps, and make an effort to move more throughout the day. Could I be losing more if I worked out every day? - probably so but for now I'm doing what I know I can do and it is working. Don't be so hard on yourself. All the pieces will eventually come together.
Just coming to this forum is a step in the right direction. Know there are alot of us rooting for you!

I am good on the treadmill or elliptical for 30min tops and then i keep yawning and i just get so bored. I even have dance/workout music, but it doesnt help that much. I barely have the energy to even get on the treadmil. I thought it was because my iron was low but that wasnt the case.
This is exactly how it is for me too!:
"I often do great for a wk or 2 and loose a good amount, if I loose I keep doing better.. then I gain, or have a bad weekend, have relationship issues, a fight with someone, or some piece of clothing doesnt fit. I love the Jenny Program. It helps me stay on track and know more about portions.
I hope we can become buddies on here and support each other
