As far as the food goes, make sure you try everything at least once. You can go a whole month eating JC food and never have to eat the same thing twice.
I wish you the best and I bet you are stronger than you think you are.

Well, I really agree with what Katie said. There's a big chunk of this that is mental: discipline, commitment, head in the game. As Linda Spangle writes, you have to be committed to weight loss, not just "interested" in WL.
If you find yourself wavering on that front, do what Katie said. Also, in your free time, really immerse yourself in the process -- read these boards, check out the success stories on the boards and on the JC site, watch/read Sara & Val's blogs, read Linda Spangle's book or something similar. Motivation isn't like a lightning bolt that hits us outta the blue -- much of the time we have to cultivate it. Find a pair of pants in the back of your closet that are just a little snug and work to make 'em fit! Think about a big event in your future that you want to feel/look great for. Whatever pushes your motivational buttons, find them and put them front & center in your life!
As for the food. Ask yourself if you're really bored, or is this some negative talk you're doing to yourself? Work with your JCC to select the options that you like. Prepare the food in ways that you'll really enjoy them! I've learned SO MANY tips from these boards about maximizing my enjoyment of the food: I rarely use the microwave, but heat in the oven or stovetop; I saute onions & mushrooms to maximize the volume & flavor of the Italian dishes, for example.
Also, I really feel like the JC food is a relativey small part of what I'm eating, by the time I eat my wonderful fresh fruits, huge veggie-filled salads, large servings of steamed veggies! I am eating beautiful fresh foods in new ways and combinations, and they've become much more my focus.
While it's true that JC allows us to follow a program with way less work and thinking than so many others, we still to have an important role to play. (But boy I sure love it when on a day like I had yesterday, I can come home, heat my entree and grab some raw carrots & tomatoes and sit down, put my feet up and enjoy!!!) But because we get some time freed up from food prep, I think I'm lucky because I can spend that time learning in so many other ways.
And, very importantly, talk to your JCC about all this!
Good luck and stay in touch!!!! You'll find a ton of support and info here..

Ask yourself, "Am I sick and tired of living in this body?" If the answer is, "Yes," then there's your motivation. Press forward like there's no tomorrow!
If the answer is, "No," then you will always be looking for the motivation and never find it.
You have to take your brain out of the mix and just do it. Don't overthink it. You joined JC for a reason.
Good Luck to you! Keep us posted on your progress.

Thank you ladies you are right I was having a really off day. I need to get focused again on the reason why I choose to do this. Its hard when I live by myself and staying focused. I missed 2 weeks of seeing my consultant due to a friends wedding and starting school but I can tell that this week is going to be much better. I will keep you guys posted on my progress.
Thank you again for the encouragement

Great attitude, to recognize that external stuff was trying to throw you off your path, and you're standing up to take charge!
Definitely stay in touch and let us know how it's going...

I know it sounds a bit contrite, but it is so true. When you're finding it really hard to keep on plan, look up and see where you want to be.
You go girl!

Well I have been on JC for a month and I am loosing my focus I dont know why Maybe I am getting board of the food please can someone give me suggestions? and advise on how to keep going.
Hang in there Jennw83!
I am with you... we all go thru struggles... like in my first real month back I lost 8.6 only to have 4 of it come back right after the sprint triathlon that I finished (1/2 mile swim, 12 mile bike, 5K walk)... and why is it that it seems we can +5 in like 1 week and it takes like 4 weeks to get a - 5.
I am also struggling since my best friend/JC pal opted to have weight loss surgery.. not sure what her results will be since the surgery was just yesterday.. but looking at her in the hospital bed made me more determined to just stay the course that I have set for myself and take the journey that comes.
I see my JCC today and wouldn't you know Mother Nature and her monthly gift arrived this morning which is going to do who knows what to the scale...
Be sure to do your food chart/journaling so that you can keep on track... I detest having to do mine; but when I do them it keeps me better on track and aware of what I'm doing...

Sweet Dreams, my Dad taught me the same thing when I was learning to drive. You are spot on, it's an excellent metaphor! Oh, and your quote is awesome! lol....skidding my way through here!
