Marathon/Race training and food splurges

This one's mainly for Valerie-I'm training for the New Orleans half marathon in October, and the Disney World marathon in January. I was wondering if, when you were training for the Boston marathon, did you treat yourself with certain foods on your long-run days? I've been doing that, with shrimp po boys or a candy bar (something chocolatey!), but am trying to get out of the habit because i'm only 5lbs away from my goal on JC. Anyways-love your blog and you inspired me to run the half and the full marathons. Thanks!
