First off, you are not a freak. Losing weight is never, ever easy. Especially if you are not fully committed, which honestly, I think may be part of your problem. Jenny Craig meals can only take you so far. If you are not drinking enough water and getting in enough exercise, this plan and no other plan will work.
Take a deep breathe and try not to obsess about your weigh ins. When you go to your next weigh in, talk to your consultant about what you can do to amp up your work outs. For instance, my sister has lost about 50 pounds and she has three kids. She doesn't get a chance to go to the gym, but she keeps workout DVD's at home. When she goes out, she parks as far as she can from entrances and walks briskly to her destinations. When she cleans her house, she over exaggerates her cleaning motions to get a workout in.
Also, it sounds like you may need to start taking multi-vitamins as well to increase your energy. Are you getting enough sleep? You should be getting at least 7 hours. All of these things factor into successful weight loss.
Don't be afraid of it. Remember that you are in control! And most importantly... NO EXCUSES! Good luck to you!
My energy is actually very low. It could be due to no vitamins, or anti-depressants (which may have also caused the weight gain). Since I stopped doing theatre, and teaching dance, it has been very difficult to get up and moving. Then I switched positions with my job 4 times in the last year - all promotions, but it has been very hard on my stress levels.
I don't think commitment is my problem actually. I have been praised by my consultant, and that actually feels good to get praised for losing weight, instead of scolded. I drink a lot of water, but I suppose I could drink more. Like I said, I walk and I do yoga, but going to a gym is embarrassing for me and we don't have a DVD player at our house (we just moved a couple of months ago).
I don't think I lost weight. I think I gained. And I really am nervous about it, and I don't want to have a break down when I get off the scale. I don't even know how much I weigh because I get on backwards, but I have an idea because I sneaked a peak at the screen when i started.
Oh well. We'll see.
