Hello all. I've only been on Jenny Craig for 2 days now and had the French Toast this morning. Very good but I know alot of you are very creative out there and probably could suggest other ways to heat it or cook it. Any suggestions? Thanks

Oh mercy this is what I have EVERY morning....since Jan.

I had extra blueberries and squirt a lil sf store bought syrup and pop in the micro for 1 min....and the juice from the berries heats up and makes the toast so moist....yum tongue.gif

My JCC has suggested adding some fat free/low cal cool whip too.

I refridgerate the french toast. In the morning, I put the slices in the toaster oven and toast it for about 5 minutes. I have a side of whatever fruit I am havig like melon chunks, peach slices, etc... and dump the defrosted berries on top. Comes out delish!

I mix 1/4 cup blueberries and 1/4 cup SF syrup along with the berries included. I microwave for 2 minutes and it makes a wonderful berry syrup to pour over.

I don't use JC syrup...mine has less calories and I actually get more.

I am not a berry person..... So, I enjoy the french toast with sliced bananas on top, with SF Syrup on top....YUM. One of my favorites.

I cook it according to pkg directions, then add 1/2 sliced banana and dump the berries on top, nuke for about 40 secs, then put the syrup on and some low cal whipped cream, yummmm. Sometimes I'll add chopped pecans too.

i defrost them in microwave and then heat them up in a pan to get hot and a slight crisper texture than heating using only the microwave.

Cook it, cool it, then tear it up and layer it in a yogurt parfait! Use one milk serving for this- choose any flavor yogurt. I like vanilla or lemon.

This works nicely with the mini loaves as well. It makes for a very filling breakfast.

Add more fruit if you prefer; just make sure you figure it into your daily allowance.

I do mine in the oven, sort of according to the pckg directions, but instead of using the tray, I spray a little Pam on a cookie sheet and put the toast in on that. Then, I flip 'em at halfway to get both sides toasty.

Also, I nuke the berries for a few seconds to thaw them out. Sometimes I add thinly sliced banana to the berries (my a.m. fruit). The banana, blueberries, french toast & syrup make a great taste combo, and there's something really rich about bananas, too.

Bon appetit!

Hello! I heat them as instructed, then I heat a pan, add 1 tsp margarine and toast the french toasts. I put the toast on a plate, then I add sugar free syrup to the pan, 1 tsp splenda brown sugar and the berries, heat them until reduced and thickened, pour over the toasts. I hope you enjoy this!

HI
I thought I'd share a few of my ideas:
1-SW Chicken and Rice, I put into any color pepper, nuke it and add salsa and a spoon of sour cream.
2-Chicken Sandwich (which I have never liked) I saw this on the boards one day and wow..what a difference! Cook the chicken, then shred it with two forks or however. Saute peppers and onions. Add the chicken to the pan with some BBQ sauce and heat it together. Spread it out on the roll, open faced and viola! A BBQ pulled chicken sandwich!
3-Cashew Chicken I put in lettuce cups and eat them as roll ups, with some added low sodium soy sauce or teriyaki sauce.
4-I found this South Beach Soup (Phase 1) which the JC dietitians say is a free food.
Take a bunch of asparagus, or broccoli. I might try it with cauliflower too. Break off the woody ends, chop it up.
throw in a sauce pan with onion and garlic, and cook until the onion is soft.
add low sodium chicken broth to cover the veggies and cook 10 minutes. Then use a hand blender to puree it, add salt and pepper to taste.
Makes about 4 servings 1 1/2 cups each, top with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
Takes a few minutes to make and its something different to do with asparagus.
Enjoy!
Lynn
