I didn't get weighed in last week. I gained a few over my vacation and had my TOM so I gave myself a few more days to get through my plan and flush everything out. I'm going in tomorrow morning to get WI and will post my results.
Yesterday I was so proud of myslef. I had to work an overnight and my company ordered pizza for everyone. It smelled fabulous: greasy, hot NY pizza! YUMMY! But I was so strong and said I wouldn't have any! I went back to my office and had the BBQ meatloaf! OMG it was so hard. All I kept thinking of was that pizza. I still obviously am! LOL! I totally could have had 2 slices! Its hard sometimes but I want to keep taking the weight off!
Have a great day everyone!

And thanks for offering the 50% off coupons. Currently I don't know anyone who needs one... But it's nice of you to giving them away here! There are so many lost souls just like us who could use them!
Have fun in Florida!

as for me personally - its time to admit it...i've been hiding out! its strange...when i set a WL goal with time tied to it, i usually end up bombing. i don't know if its that its unrealistic and once I think I won't make my goal I give up?? But for some reason, I just lose focus. With that being said - I'm taking myself out of hiding and doing some soul searching as to what I want out of all of this. My behaviors the last few weeks cause me concern for 'maintenance'. And one thing I know for sure - I don't want to be 220 lbs again!! So - I guess its just about keeping it in small steps for me. one day at a time. one choice at a time. So today, I chose to get up and do a 45 min walk. And it felt great to clear my mind and bring some balance back into my life. I still have a trip with hubby in about 6 weeks that had an original goal for me....but I won't think like that. I don't want to lose weight for a single event...I want to be healthy and, as jenny says, have a balanced approach to living!
But i will say - reading your posts inspire me!! so thanks for letting me come out from under my rock!

Hi, I just stumbled across your challenge. A few of us in the JC Direct forum were just talking about doing something like this.
Can we get in on it? Or, would you give advice?
Thanks so much and congratulations to you all!

Your not alone, I've been losing and still all the sudden I found myself with all these doubts about whether I could do this, my little voices of doubt from before. Plus I signed up for a half marathon and now I'm pretty nervous about it and it's 2 months away. I had a talk with myself and I just stick to the program and do lots of little things that eventually add up. I'm still nervous about the race, which for me will really be surviving a 13.1 mile walk. I guess I feel like a fraud doing this race. Everything I've read says I won't feel that at the end of the race. Anyway you can do this and yep it's not for one event it's for life. Which also kind of freaked me out a while back. I started back running today, and I kind of treat this program like my starting back to running. I set my sights on the trash can down the walk a the park and tell myself I can do it. Then I just take it slow and easy to the next trash can. Hang in there, one little step at a time, make a list of your wins, your probably doing better than you think.
Missfit,
It's never too late, we have a month left. I'm not sure whether sundevil gal has time to adjust the chart, but that shouldn't effect you all making your goals.

Nancy: Thanks for the words! As for your half marathon, you'll do great even if its a 13.1 mile walk! that's amazing to complete as well. I did a local half marathon probably 6 years ago. it was my first half and i was not prepared. But i still did it -walked some, ran some. and i still felt amazing at the end. It is such a great accomplishment. I did end up re-training and running it the next year. Ran the whole thing and felt even more accomplished and grateful. So who knows what this will lead to for you. Do what you can and know that, yes...you'll feel great at the end!! congrats!

At my WI today I'm down 2.7 pounds...hooray! I'm working out with a trainer and staying on plan pretty well and the numbers show it. I'm now down for a total of 18 pounds from my start weight. Even more exciting to me is that on my home scale (which is where I weigh myself first thing in the morning) I'm under the 150 mark...finally! The JC center weighs me 1.5 lbs heavier but that's ok, I know what I look like. I've gone from a size 14 to a size 8-10 and that is a BIG improvement.
Still have another 20 lbs to go...I want to look like Sarah Rue and I know I'm going to get there.
Have a great weekend!
Robin
