I have now completed my first week and first meeting with my counselor and my experiences have been negative. I am not getting the support I had hoped for and I just want to curl up and cry. When I registered the lady who processed my registration suggested that because I am a vegetarian, it might be to my benefit to do a 25/75 0r 50/50 program from the get go so I won't get bored with food choices. however when I met with my counselor for the first time she did not agree and made me feel like sh** for wanting to flex from the basic program. I can't believe this woman has even read the material for the program, because there is nothing magical about Jenny food. I am upset and emotional wounded by her attitude and tone. I am long old enough to be her mother and have a little more life experience and wisdom. I am offended that she would take such a tone with a paying client.

Ask the director for another consultant. Or ask the director if she could be your consultant. If there is another center near you, you could try there. You can always do the at home program, however the shipping costs are pretty hefty. I hope you can get someone better!

I haven't been a true vegetarian for several years (I now eat chicken and fish), but looking over the choices (especially for lunch) - you are going to get bored with the limited options. If this is a longterm commitment you are making for your health, you have to set yourself up for success. Substituting a Lean Cuisine or a healthy MOMO twice a week should not be a big deal, and may help keep you motivated for the long haul. Ask for another consultant - there are good ones out there that will work with you. You may have to change the day you go, but don't let this one "bad apple" spoil this experience for you.

Working in the service industry, I'd aslo be inclined to let the manager know why you are requesting a change. If any of my staff were rude or condescending to a client... let's just say there'd be a discussion about it.

Thanks you're support means alot. I intented to call the manager. She wasn't in when I called yesterday and I will certainly share my experience with her. Donald Trump said "This generations downfall is it's attitude of entitlement." Some young people don't have a clue how to give good customer service. They think just showing up for work, they are entitled to a good paycheck. We'll see.....
