Hi Labor Day Challengers. Below is the chart for week 10!! I'm thinking a lot of people may be on vacation? If i've missed anything, please let me know.

I'm off this week on another business trip. Hoping I drop some weight, seems that's the only time I do! HA! I did have to go shopping for new clothes and i'm fitting in a size 14 now. Very exciting for me. I was a size 18/20W to start. When I lost weight before, I was down to a 12 - think that's about as low as I can go for my body type. pretty awesome. Goal is to fit in my size 12 jeans for a trip with hubby in Sept.

Hope you're all having a great start to your week!!

Thanks SDG for posting the chart. Good luck this week while you are on your trip losing lots of weight. Do you take a bathing suit with you so you can swim if they have a pool? It must be nice because you also get to use the gyms to workout too. Sort of like a working spa week. Congrats on the new size, remember to take the clothes you shrink out of to Goodwill/Salvation Army so you can't go backwards. Atleast not without it having to cost you, it'll make you think twice.

Hope everyone is able to have a nice active week. The heat is finally starting to break in New England, thank goodness, I'll be able to go walking more. Take care.

Nancy

Yikes - I have been MIA and will not meet my Labor Day Challenge goal :-( Too many social activities and trips out of town and I got totally off track and gained 4 lbs. BUT I am not giving up - today is a new day and I learned from all of that. I updated my signature to show my current weight and I'm back on track.

Sorry I've been MIA. Camping, family stuff, etc. I'm down to 160 today! Yay!

At today's weigh in I was down 3.2 lbs-woo hoo!!!! That's my biggest loss since my first weeks weigh in.

It's so nice and encouraging to see a BIG drop in one week for a change. A friend told me if I really want to accelerate my weight loss to drink 120 ozs of water per day...that amount really flushes the fat and toxins I'm sloughing out of my system. Makes sense, when I exercise and eat on Program the fat has to get purged from my body and the only way to do it is through the waste system...it's not going to evaporate in the air.

Anyway, I'm really pleased that I had such a good WI, especially since I'm really following the plan and working out every day. AND some of my clothes are beginning to fit again...thank goodness, no more shlepping around in big shirts and baggy sweats.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Hugs
Robin

Congratulations Robin!!!

And all the best to those of you who are traveling the next days or weeks! It's tough but you will be able to manage I am sure!!!

I had a very slow July but now I seem to back on track and actually met my 10% goal this morning. I am very very happy! That's 28lbs lost in 14 weeks. I can definitely live with that! biggrin.gif

Social events in the summer are really tough, but somehow I manage to balance those splurges by biking, walking a little more, being in general a little more active and also eating right and sometimes replacing my dinner with a big salad or not having a dessert after dinner if I had cheesecake for lunch biggrin.gif

YAY to all of us! It doesnt really matter if we meet our goals for Labour Day I think as long as we are all losing and as long as we all keep working towards our longterm goal!

Have a great Sunday and enjoy your trips and friends and family gettogethers!

Cheers
Brigit

YAY! Sounds like everyone is doing a great job on losing and getting in there activity. Well except for me, the heat is still taking me down, so that I just don't have it in me to work out later or get going earlier. I've been having some insomnia, dare I say probably age related. That was painful to admit. So I'm down 1lb, because I followed the food program but just haven't been getting in as much activity. It looks like the heat will break later in the week. The good news is I'm off beginning the 31st, for nine days. So lots of working out, gardening, working on the house and day trips. Can't wait for the 70's to return. I think I can make my labor day goal, but I don't think I'll make it to 60lbs total by my birthday. I'll probably make it by week 27, I can live with that. Oh and I made it in to size 10 again. Yay! Time to take the dog for a week, then a long walk for me.

Hey Nancy! Congrats on your loss and don't beat yourself up because of the lack of exercise! It is just soooo humid and hot these days that it's probably good to stay inside during the day! And walking the dog is a really good exercise anyway! It will make both of you happy and relaxed!

Hi everyone! Since last week I had such a tiny weight loss, this week definitely made up for it. I lost 4.3 pounds to bring me down to 351 pounds now. I could smell the 340's right around the corner, lol. I am going to try to increase my activity a bit more this week since TOM is coming and I tend to get terrible chocolate cravings. Hopefully the extra activity can balance that out a bit, lol. Until next week...

Start weight on 1/8/10: 438.2 lbs
Current weight: 317.8 lbs
Total weight loss: 120.4 lb

Thanks Brigit,

I guess I'm more concerned because before I know it that half marathon will be here, (Oct 3rd). So I have to get my @ss in gear. Tonight I got 2 miles in and took the dog for a shorter walk this morning. Congrats on making it to your 10% goal. Good for you. I read that your still biking and making it up that hill. Yay! I'm pretty sure I am seeing you far in to the future in my neighborhood. A women who lives near by, I guess, rides by my house on Sunday mornings on her bike. She comes back by about 2 hours later still going strong. She is clearly very fit and I'm guessing at least in her 70's. So keep biking, you won't beleive how great your going to look and feel years from now.

Robin and Rocky Loss congrats on your WI. Wow! Rocky, 3 words for TOM week triple chocolate cheesecake. I have it everyday. No kidding. It's cold and tasty and since I'm putting up with working outside in god aweful heat, I have something yummy for snack every afternoon. Robin what do you do for your workouts that is getting such great results. Thanks for the H2O reminder. I drink tons but think with all my sweating I still need to up the amount.

I'm really hoping to get alot of walking in this week and add in wiifit for my core. Just realized I only have 7.8lbs to reach goal. WOOOO Hoooo!

Hey Everyone!

Just quickly updating for week ten!
I stayed the same this week!

Which, having been on my own little vacation for a whole weekend, with almost no JC food, is GOOD!

I'll come back and update more thoroughly another time, jetting out of the house, to hang with some friends!
Talk soon!
