Hi Everyone!

My name is Michele and I just received my first Jenny food shipment today. I will be starting tomorrow!
This is my second attempt at Jenny Craig. 2 years ago I lost 35 pounds and didn't do enough to educate myself and prepare for maintenance and gained it back! So, I am here for the second and hopefully final time!

I am 33 and need to lose 35 to 40 pounds. I hope there are other newbies out there so we can help eachother out!

I look forward to visiting this forum for support and hopefully to be a support for all of you!

Michele

Michelle

That is GREAT!!!!! Hey I just got my 2nd shipment today with week 3 and 4. This forum is a lot of help, we are all in this together.... hey it takes a village to lose a pound.... or something like that !! Just think somewhere, someone is eating an Anytime bar... if you put it like that, see we all have the same foods in our freezers, pantries and goals and visions.

Can't wait for your lst week victory lap..... keep to the program exact, eat what is on there, no "winging it" and you will do fantastic.

Good luck and have a great day.

Dawn

Thanks Dawn!

I did promise myself that I would stick to the program EXACTLY for a few months. We all know Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner (oh no!) and that is a very challenging time of year for all of us dieters! So, the better we can do now the more incentive we will have to be good around the holidays.

With that being said...this Saturday I have to go over my in laws to celebrate my Hubbys bday with the entire family. I would like to stick to plan but I am not sure I want my mother in law and brother in law to know I am on 'Jenny'.

Any suggestions of what I should do? Should I bring my Jenny and be proud or should I make an alternate plan?

Michele

Gosh, look at everyone joining in! Welcome Everyone! It is so great to see so many of us joining in to help each other out in our journey's together!

Kim congrats on the 2.8 lbs lost! way to go! and also for not eating under stress. I am sorry though about your car getting broken into and everyone's purses and wallets getting stolen, that is awful. And I know what a headache to go through to cancel credit cards and put alerts up and get things reissued.

TA2010 great job on the 6 lbs! Keep up the good work!

Debra sorry to hear about the thyroid, but I am glad you are figuring out what is going on, it can be so frustrating not knowing. Let us hear some updates.

Michele and Dawn glad to have you here with us. Can't wait to hear how things are going for you both. Keep us updated!

Well last week I received my 2 week shipment and I went through it and checked to make sure I received everything, started putting everything away opened up the freezer and to my surprise I saw I still had about 4 or 5 frozen entrees in there still, and I was thinking what? I should only have 1. Well it seems the last 2 weeks have been extremely busy and I have not been eating all of my meals hence I gained .6 lbs. Of course my fabulous JCC told me "you have to eat all your food" LOL. The good news is I did get out and walk 3 days last week. I also plugged in my food in the personalized planner so I can check it off everyday. It seems I am a very visual person and at least this way I can make sure I am eating all of my food. LOL
So hopefully I will start loosing again.

Anywho, I hope everyone is having a great week and I really want to hear about how it is going for you. Let us know when you WI day is too. Mine is Friday's, and Kim's is Monday.

Take care,

Sandy

Hello everyone!

Today was a brutal day but I managed to stay on track and not allow the crappy circumstances of the day get the best of me. I feel very much in control right now, it's wonderful! Prior to starting JC, I would have thrown in the towel after a day like this and gone to the package store for some Smirnoff Ice!! I won't deny that the thought didn't' cross my mind, but I shook it right out and went for the bottle of water.

My weigh in day is Friday. I'm nervous because I've been constipated all week. I thought I was struggling to adjust to the food but I keep reading on these forums that everyone is having trouble with the anytime bars. Causing gas and constipation. I enjoy them and I just got 2 new boxes but I think I might have to take a break and see if I straighten out. I can easily have a fat free yogurt and a multivitamin if that's the problem.

Thanks for the support everyone!

OK ........... ready for the last day of this hideous heat wave to end so life can get back to normal!

Glad I found this forum, you guys are a great bunch of motivated people and I'm happy to pop back in here on a daily basis!!!

Hi Everyone! I hope everyone is having a great week. It has been so busy and so stressful on my end that I have not had a chance to post until today.

Kim, how are you doing, I know you and your family had a lot to deal with after your purses and wallets were stolen, I hope everything is okay on that end, at least as much as it can be. How are you doing? How are you doing with your meals? Are you still traveling alot?

Debra, How are you doing with the thyroid problem, did your dr. figure out what to do? How are you doing on your food.

Dawn, Sounds like you are doing well, let me know how things are going. Would love to hear about your journey.

TA2010 sounds like you are doing great!!!!! I use the Pria bars instead of the anytime bars due to the gas and they are absolutely yummy! Let me hear how you are doing. LOL about the heat wave. Live in Texas so heat wave is always here LOL!

Michele, how did you do at the birthday party? I am sure you made the right choices, it can be difficult, let us hear how you are doing.

Well I finally started loosing again down 1.6 lbs and I am so happy. Guess it helps when you eat everything on the menu and not skip anything LOL. I even ate a roast beef sandwich at the waterpark last weekend, but I took off half of the bread so hopefully that helped. It was a nice waterpark, in the middle of no where. Not crowded, the kids had a great time. We are going to check out another one next year that is not too far from where we live. These are so much more affordable than the big waterparks.

Anyhoo, really would love to hear from everyone. Take care,

Hi Sandy

Yipeeeeee on your 1.6 loss and being on track !!!!

I correspond with TA and know she is kicking bootie and dropping lbs!!!

I'm hoping my momentum hasn't come to a grinding halt I sprained ankle & broke my elbow in a fall over Labor Day. Staying on program isn't a problem just not exercising can slow me down a bit. I am a true believer in everything happens for a reason....so this to shall pass.

Hope all you ladies are doing great.

Have an amazing day today !!!!

Dawn

Hi everyone. Not sure if I have ever posted on here.
I am a Jenny Direct client since May 28 of this year.
It has been a very positive experience so far as you can see from my weight loss ticker. There are no Jenny centers close to my home or work. My coworker lives about 40 miles east of me and has one near her and insists constantly I stop with the Jenny Direct and just stop in her center. But I am very happy with my deliveries and my consultant - now that is.

My original consultant was great, but went on maternity leave last month. She was replaced without my knowledge by someone I just could not work with. I need positive reinforcement and this consultant constantly told me what I was doing wrong (I do a lot of MOMO's for breakfast because I don't like JC cereals). She wanted me to buy anytime bars and was going to just add it to my order - and I really don't like them. I do a multi and milk instead. And I am more than a third of the way towards goal in a little over 3 months so it is working. Anyway, I had enough of her criticisms and right after our third call, called cust service and requested a new one. This one asked me what I want from her and I said positive reinforcement, no lectures. Heck - I have not had a gain yet. Every week has been a loss, some big, some small but always a loss. I felt bad about myself getting off the phone with the other consultant which I told this one. Noone should feel that way, you should feel good and positive and accomplished after the consultant call. And now I do again.

Lesson to be learned, if you are not happy with anything with Jenny Direct, let them know right away and it will be resolved.

So hi everyone and have a great and active weekend!

Hello everybody!

Dawn!!! Hope you're feeling better! You're a trooper and I know you'll bounce back! Keep plugging away!

Welcome back sandy! Congrats on the 1.6!!!!

lucki: Glad to hear you switched out your JCC. You definately don't want to feel bad about yourself when you're done talking. I'm surprised they gave you a hard time about doing your own breakfasts. That's actually the way I was hoping to start weaning off of this food (not that I'm in rush) I'd much rather keep eating Jenny lunches and dinners. I love liquid egg white products and I could very easily eat a nice omlette with salsa every morning. I wonder if I'll get shot down when that time comes too? Hmmmmmmm I suppose if you're paying for the program, you should be able to do whatever MOMO you want.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this program!!!!!

Weighed in today and lost 3.5 (and it's my TOM)

I've been walking every night after work, whether someone joins me or I walk alone, makes no difference...I'm going! I hopped on my elliptical machine on Tuesday (after I dusted it off) and attempted to do 30 minutes. After 8 minutes I thought I'd be lucky to do 15, BUT, when I HIT the 15 minute mark, I was good to go and I did the whole **** 30 minutes! Let me tell you, I sweat my butt off! I was so excited to do the 30 minutes. It's soooooo different from walking! I have been making sure I get my 10000 steps in every day!

I think I might have solved my problem with the anytime bars. I had skipped a few days to see if the problem I was having would go away. It did, but I missed the bars. I decided to try them again, this time, I drank about 16 ounces of water before I ate the bar, then I drank another 16 ounces WITH the bar. I was stunned when the day ended and I realized that I had NO gas whatsoever!!!!!!!! I told my JCC about it tonight and she was going to make a note of it to share with others because it's a HUGE complaint about the bars. I just really enjoy them and they've become part of my morning routine.

Today is day 1 of week 4 and I feel brand new! The weight loss at this point, is a bonus! I feel good from the moment I wake up until I fall asleep. I sleep like a baby and still wake up effortlessly every day. I know I did not give my body the fuel it needed to function properly, but I had no idea I would feel this good, this fast! I told my JCC tonight that THIS is what I wanted to acheive, feeling the way I feel ALREADY!

I did the personalized menu for my next 4 weeks. I'm excited to have all of my favorites every single day. Never again will I look at the breakfast options and sigh........There were only a few lunches and dinners that I passed on, but when it comes to breakfast, it'll start me off on the right foot to be meal happy right out of the gate.

Hope everyone had a GREAT week!!!!!

Tracy you are doing amazing!!!!! Keep up your wonderful momentum and mindset.....you have to be ecstatic about the weight loss!!!

Got on scale this am for my weigh in and it hasn't budged. If I want to nit pick I could say my arm splint and ankle splint must weigh something so maybe there was a loss hahaha.

My win although not on scale was keeping my focus. Brought all my food with me to the big town festival held yesterday. I worked up there 12 hrs. Today is grandsons christening doing same pre-planning with my JC food. Keeping the faith I can start my walking again and all my focus on plan will pay off on the scale. For right now happy my dress will fit fantastic with the 10 lbs off!!!!

Good luck everyone have a fantastic day.

Dawn

Hi Sandy, Kim and all the newbies on the thread! I've missed checking in!
It's been a couple of crazy, somewhat depressing weeks. My update regarding my thyroid is we've discovered it has gotten worse and now interfering with my kidney function. I have been swelling up and down for about 2 weeks. My doctor has added medication and we agreed that I'd try a raw food/ juicing detox while the medication adjusts and my kidneys start to function normally again, just to keep things simple and clean in my system. In the meantime, boy am I starving sad.gif and do I miss the breakfast stuffed sandwiches!
My plan is to get back on JC after my next round of lab work (if I get the go-ahead) which is the first week of October. So, for now, I will wish you all continued success and 'see you all' in a few weeks.
CONGRATULATIONS LADIES!

Debra

Hello Everyone!
I started Jenny Direct on Sept 15th - and I am loving the program. I'm still a little skeptical about what the results will be - since I never feel hungry and often don't eat all the extra food they recommend. I haven't bought any of the bars, and I must confess I don't add all the milk they suggest. But first week I was down 4 lbs - but I'm not too sure if it was a true loss - since I didn't weight myself the day I started - but a few days before - so we'll see how week 2 goes. Glad to have found this board with others doing Jenny at home - Good Luck Everyone!

Katie,
im in week 4 and i can say jenny is one the best weight loss programs i have come across. You lost 4 pds because of the water weight. i recommend the jenny's books,it gives alot of informantion on what to eat, how much. The basis of this program is food, mind, and body.. So get to thinkin positive, and you'll do great. I have only lost a little bit in this amount of time w/o exercising b/c i work and go to school, but im still losing.

Good Luck!!!!!
eat all the food they recommend (hint- food is your energy, the less your body eats, the less fuel to move around)
