What dvd are you using with Leslie....I am thinking about getting a second. I like the one I have....but it is high intensity....4 miles in 56 minutes! I just finished it, and I am feeling every second of it!

I can honestly say that I was a skinny minny. You know the girl that everyone envies. I had 2 TIA mini strokes, 2 years ago when I was the activly fit. 5'7" and 132 lbs. Since then I have gain 40 lbs. & can't deal with the weight gain. I used to be able to walk on the treadmill for an hour at 4mph. I can no longer do it at that speed or that long, only because I became unfit. I have no disablities from my TIAs, in the beginning I couldn't move my right side. From lack of exercise and all my meds I have gained this weight. Let's not forget all the junk food I eat.
So that's a little bit about me. Please introduce yourself
Olive
Hi Olive,
Please add me to the challenge & to the chart.. This past week I worked out Tues-Wed-Thurs-Sat-Sun.. This 2nd week I worked out on Mon-Tues. What a great idea to make this a 5 day challenge...I've been wogging=jogging/Walking for an hour at the track.. I'm finding it is getting addictive...

Hello Ladies.........I have cut back to only three day of exercise. Glen has been kind enough to help me with my seven week plateau and suggest I cut back for a few weeks. I will hopefully resume five days when the plateau is nover with. Good luck with everyone.

Due to humidity, I went to the track early & put in one hour of Wogging! Hee hee.. Its my 3rd workout this week so count me in for Mon-Tues- & today Wed!:) I really had to push through today but I'm motivated because this past week (even w/ exercise) I plateaued. So, I figure I will push through & eventually my body will have to lose. I must say it was a struggle, but I drank my water I brought and after jogging a few times around the track, I walked & then used the water fountain to wet my face, arms & neck--it really made a difference & cooled me down. The scary part is this was 7:30 in the morning!I find as long as I hydrate myself & cool myself w/ water I can persevere. Olive thanks for starting this challenge because its just the push I needed.

Come on, gals. Hop back on the exercise wagon and lets get this done! I am talking to myself as well as the others that have accepted this 4 week challenge. I started out strong but have let it lapse. I had a big weight loss this week...5.8 lbs...but it may have been more if I had kept my commitment.
Who is with me to re-direct, re-focus, renew our lives. Exercise 5,4,3 days a week is better then no exercise.
Let's get it done!!
Be Blessed.
Martha

Wow I'm sorry. I had such a busy wk. I took 10 wks off of my job to work on my house. (bought it in Nov) Was getting a great IRS refund. Only they made a mistake and took it all. $8,400. so I had to fight to get it. Got it last week. Now I'm cramming all the contractors up and working non-stop on my house because I go back to work on Aug 9.
Could we all post our own days and times of working out. If you go back to Irelandclover's post # 57. She has it.
Martha- Sorry about your weight gain. You will lose it girl, Just don't give up
Ladybug611-Think thin. The scale will adventually move. I know that it's hard to stick with something when we don't see results. I'm sure your feeling better on the program, eating right and execising. The weight will come off, might be slowly but it will go.
Melissa- How was Graceland?
Welcome- Katie O & Jen
Misty- Im sort of a teacher, too. I work in the daycare of a University, Infant Room. With all the new regs. and paper work I feel like a teacher. I am also in college working toward my associate degree. Regs have changed to be a lead teacher have to have an associates by the end of 2015 and bachlors by the end of 2020. I will be 47 yrs old in Sept and going back to school.
Pam- So sorry about your Mom. I feel your pain. 9 yrs ago my husband had asperation pneumonia. From the high fevers it fried his brain. He ended up with MS( doctor say he had the gene in his body) and dementia. I took care of him for 2 yrs. then had no choice but to place him in a nursing home. Today he needs total care. Diapers, needs to be fed, can't walk, sometimes know me but not his 3 children. He was 53 when it happened.
OK well tomorrow morning I will make a new post. Have to go I haven't been on the computer for a wk. I haven't looked at my e-mails yet. Plus I have contractors coming to tear out my daughter bedroom floor today.

I wogged=Jogged/walk for an hour on Thurs & today Sunday bringing me to 5x this past week. Yeehaaw. My plateau for the past couple of weeks finally ceased! I'm down 4lbs when I got weighed in on Saturday..I'm thrilled! There is something to working out hard for 5 days a week. Finally the scale is finally moving after a stand still...
Olive, what a great idea to get people pumped up w/ this challenge!

Olive, I just caught up w/ the thread..I'm sorry to hear about your husband. You are a very strong, woman! You never know how strong you are until you are put to the test-- working on your house, going back to school ,losing weight & trying to fit in exercise --YOU ARE AMAZING!!
BTW.. I'm fine w/ keeping track myself & adding posts to this thread because I find in very encouraging to read that everybody else is working hard toward their weight lose goals & exercise is detrimental..

Ladybug,
I plateaued for 2 weeks & continued w/ 5 days of exercise & eventually it will come off.. Your metabolism will work harder & will let go of fat.. I finally lost 4lbs at my WI.. I read that when you plateau it means your body is adjusting & getting ready to move to next level. You just have to be patient w/ yourself, which is really hard to do... do whatever you feel is best but just continue pushing through & benefits will follow.Good luck!
