You have such a positive attitude. It is inspiring. Eating out often means extra salt, so the pounds should come off quickly as you eat clean and drink lots of water. Thanks for telling me about this challenge. I am glad to be able to join.

My Labor Day weigh-in Challenge
Starting June 12 - 175.5
Week One: June 19 - 174 (lost 1.5 lbs)
Week Two: June 26 - 173 (lost 1 lb)
Week Three: July 3 - 171.5 (lost 1.5 lbs)
Week Four: July 10 - 171.5 (no loss, no gain)

LABOR DAY GOAL


COMPLETE JC WEIGHT MANAGEMENT GOAL
Starting Weight was 197 - ultimate goal is 135. Almost half way!

Welcome Wordcross, this is a great group, but be prepared to be inspired out of your comfort zone or ahead of yourcomfort zone. I thought I'd be planning for my first half marathon next year this time, but this group and the marathon/triathlete thread have me convinced I am able to do it this fall. So I'm off and walking and a little jogging.

firefly, Congrats on your lose, 2.5lbs is great. It's the activity that really has been key to my weight loss, calories in, calories out. I don't drink, maybe a beer or glass of wine a year. I haven't had a soda in close to a decade. Plus I'm post menoposal, eating every few hours and the activity has shockingly brought back my extinct metabolism. I do watch the portion size and try to stay on plan, although I've started doing MOMO. I started out at 219, now I'm at 167.8 in 5 months.

I got alot of good walks in this week, most atleast 2 miles, one day 6miles. One night planned a 2 mile walk w/ my dog. Well, she met her first baby ground hog not long into the walk. Turns out the clump of dead grass bites. She got nipped then did some nipping back, thank goodness she was on a leash. Yep got a good bit of spontaneous strength training in there. Then were walking along and she's stopping and kicking herself in the head. Finally I can see a big deer fly trying to bite her, so I tell her to sit, wait for the fly to land on her and then whack her in the head. Fly dead and she was all done walking with me. She went straight for the car and I ended up doing wiifit while getting dirty looks from my poor sweet pup.

Congrats to everyone on their loses this week. Time to play some tennis ball with the dog.

hey sun - I wanted to give you my #'s for week seven - not sure when you will be updating but I'm going away for the weekend so I wanted to give you the info now. I'm down 3.3 lbs this week WHOO HOO!! loving this losing weight thing!!!
