QUOTE(Rocky Loss @ Jun 20 2010, 11:43 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I'm so glad I have better news to report this week. Lost 4.6 pounds, bringing me to 363.0!

Hi Rocky!

Congrats on a great week. I gained 0.8lbs this week even though I followed the plan to a T. I am getting scared that all of the weight I have lost is starting to come back on. I am still not sure why it went up, but I am guessing either muscle gain from all of the Spin classes and gym workouts that I do or water retention since I am getting close to my TOM. It may be time to lower down the calories for real this time to 1700 where I am supposed to be.

I really hope to lose this week because I feel like sometimes throwing in the towel, but I can't give up coming this far already.

I have a new photo link posted in my signature of myself as this was just taken a couple of days ago with my hair highlighted and brows waxed as a double gift for myself.

Please cross your fingers that I will have a better week. I will let you know on Thursday!

JC Weight Loss Tracking:

Thoughts to Keep in Mind:

Change is the essence of life.

Be willing to surrender what you are.....for what you could become.

It takes longer to lose weight than to gain.
A little weight loss is as great as big loss
.
There may be weeks your weight may go up a little bit,
but don't get discouraged because even though your weight may be up
one week, you may still be losing inches and gaining muscle.

Your weight is only a number. The changes you see overall physically and
mentally are the things that truly matter the most. Don't get fixated on
your weight number.
In other words, your weight isn't the only measure of your success. Put away the scale and you may just see how far you've
really come
.

Keep in mind that each week is different.

Don't stop & stick with it.

"You deserve your fullest life back. You deserve to be able to breathe deeply.
You deserve to be able to walk as far and as fast as you want to walk —
and to run if you wish. You deserve to be able to buy clothing from any
store you walk into. You deserve quality foods to serve yourself — fresh,
filled with flavors and nutrients and textures and color. You deserve to be
proud of who you are — to revel in your strength of mind, body and
character. You deserve to walk the streets and beaches feeling eyes
on you and knowing you look strong and healthy. You are doing something
that many, many people believe they cannot do or flat-out will not do.

I will repeat that….

You're doing something that many, many people believe
they cannot or flat-out will not do.
" - Jason Alexander

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.
I made it through my first weekend totally on plan, now on to the rest of the week.
My dog is loving it that I am back on JC...means double walks for him. wub.gif

Brigit - I am so impressed that you bike to work. I would love to get to that point one day...I live at DonMills/Steeles & work at Dufferin /Steeles so it is not a huge distance...just worried about falling off the bike blink.gif

Marcella - I love Wonderland, you will have a blast...just watch out for those funnel cakes, they are pure evil..lol

Helen - they have a women soccer team not far from where I live. I want to join it myself once I can run again huh.gif

Well back to work

Skinny vibes to all.

Nikki, Hope your feeling better! Great job on the loss when you could have given yourself some excuse to go over board.

Rocky loss, you need to change your name, nothing getting in your way. Your cruisin'.

firefly, the activity make such a difference in getting your metabolism going again.

Julianna, very nice picture, it is so nice when the chins start diappearing. Love the new hair do. Maybe talk to your JCC about changing your plan. Could you need more calories? Plus maybe change your workout, always good to confuse your body. Just wondering about whether you could be in starvation mode.

Brigit, hope your okay and that you didn't get arrested or attacked. How was your ride in through the protests. You must be so proud of yourself, making it up the hill and now navigating the G20. Wow!

SDG, how was the long weekend? We're you able to get some walks in? Hope you had a great time.

I was able to take the dog for short walk tonight, only 20 min. We will do long walks tomorrow and try and get some gardening in too.

Hope everyone has a nice evening, I'm about to crash, heat should break tomorrow.

It's been a hectic week and I only lost 0.5 at my WI last Tues, haven't posted since then and my next WI is tomorrow. I feel like my body is really revolting to the program and my loss was disappointing regardless of my effort! Seems like tomorrow will be much of the same. Guess it's time to do some of the much talked about calorie cycling!!
So much good news though!! Great job on all your losses, it's great that there are too many to mention!
Have a great day, will try to check in again after my WI tomorrow!

Hello everyone! What an active post this has been over the weekend. Was great to come back and read all the success everyone has been having. I've got all the numbers and will go update the chart. I'll post a new thread so we stay right with the weigh in results.

Eferr - maybe you can repost your last message in the new thread as i'm sure everyone would love to read comments and i don't want your message to get 'left behind'. smile.gif

ok - look for the the new Week 6 thread.
