Thought I’d start a new thread for this week of the Labor Day Challenge. I made a chart up and did the best I could to track everyone’s starting weight and goal. If there is anything that needs to be corrected, just let me know. I took the starting date as 5/17 since that was the Monday after the initial post. That put the challenge at 16 weeks total from the start. Feel free to still join in. Just plan your weight loss goal on the number of remaining weeks.

I thought everyone could post each week what their weight loss was and I’ll update the chart for a new week (Monday –Sunday). Or feel free to PM me. I'll update on sunday nights. I think it’s great too, as breakaway suggested, to share wins and challenges so we can support each other.

I had a tough couple of weeks but am re-motivated this week and had a great day on plan and a great night at the gym.

Love reading everyone’s posts!!
Thanks!!

wow!!! thank you SO much for doing that - that is awesome!! I actually had the wrong weight as my starting weight - it is 222.9 - I'm sorry if that screws you up at all - I was putting what my scale said vs. the JC scale.

congrats on being re-motivated this week and thank you again for making the chart!!!

Hi Everyone

I would like to join you on the Labor Day challenge. I joined JC on May 27 and in my first week I lost 6 pounds. My start weight is 168.5, current weight is 162.5 and goal weight is 124.5.

Since we are about 13 weeks from Labor Day if I average 2 lbs lost per week I should be able to lose 25 lbs by then. I'm really motivated when I set a goal...I'll be the big 5-0 in October so this is my birthday present to myself.

Is it ok for me to come along with you?!

Thanks

Ohhhh I love the chart!! Thanks so much for your effort!!!

I am having a bad week. I am going up and down... we'll see what Saturday brings. That's my official weighin date. With pigging out twice (first cheese and then chocolate torte) I am not expecting much of a loss....

But.... in order to get some more excercise I decided to buy a bike today and instead of taking the bus every morning I will ride my bike to work. Afterall it's all downhill from home to the office. And on my way back I am allowed to sweat since I can stink like skunk when coming home - noone will care! biggrin.gif

It's 20-30 min each way and I am sure it will be a great workout and take off the stress from work and get me to a healthy and happy level when I am home!

We'll see... but now I am broke and have to be really careful with spending! biggrin.gif

Have a great week everyone!!!

Congratulations kamf...nice to know you are in a new weight catagory, good for you!

I kind of look at the numbers in 10 pound increments...I just landed in the 150's from a 168.5 lb start. I can't believe how much it helps to walk. I'm getting my minimum of 10,000 steps per day in and it is peeling the weight off pretty fast although I know it will level off.

Still, it's encouraging to know this program works if I follow the plan.

Hello all! I just wanted to say that I had a sneak peak at th scale today and things are looking good. My numbers went WAY up after last weekend (2.7 pounds), but I think it was a lot of salty food. As of today all of that + a pound is gone. It was just the motivation I needed before traveling for the weekend. I ate well on the flights and am now heading to dinner where I will keep making good choices!!

So proud of all the updates. No time for personals (it is 11:15 my time, but 8:15 here in California -either way late to eat).

Hello everyone!!

I had a not so successfull week regarding weight loss. But I made it back on plan after having a cheese platter catered at the office and two days later two pieces of chocolate cake!

Also - I bought a beautiful bike and biked today 7 km to my JC Center to pick up my food and biked also back. YAY!

So here are my stats

Oooohhh I am so excited to report a 4 lb loss last week! I kept getting off the scale and back on to make sure it was right. My weigh in day is Saturday morning and I go by the number on the scale at home rather the center because I go in on Friday evening after eating all day - most accurate is first thing in the a.m. I was so shocked I even got some weights and put them on the scale to make sure my scale is accurate and it's right on!

That gives me a 4 pound loss for week 3 for the challenge and a current weight of 160!

Hi Cindy!!
That's wonderful! Congratulations!!! What do you think was the reason for your great success last week? Have you worked out more? Or changed other habits?

All the best!!
