I started on Jenny approx 1 month ago and doing great. I feel one of the reasons I am doing so well is because of the double chocolate cake. Knowing at the end of my day I could have a decadent delicious dessert was enough to get me through any day. I am greatly dissapointed by the new chololate cakes (cupcakes). With the original I was inspired to add my own berries and truly have an awsome dessert. The new cupcakes are smaller and have more fat grams. The taste is definately disappointing. Please Jenny bring back the DOUBLE CHOCOLATE CAKE.
I wish they didn't retire the BBQ chicken pizza too

I think the new cakes are good, but too small. I ate the old cake with a fork and would savor every bite, these I pop in my mouth and they are gone! sad.gif The new cakes "feel" like diet food, because there isn't enough to enjoy. sad.gif Please bring back the real cakes again!!!!

I AGREE! I feel exactly the way you do. The double chocolate cakes got me through cravings I had and looked forward eating them every day! The new mini chocolate cakes are dry and do not taste as good. I couldn't believe how moist they were! angry.gif

I am either doing something wrong, or maybe just mid-understanding some of you....are we able to eat some chocolate cake every single day? Or are you just talking about the certain days we get the chocolate cakes? If there's a chocolate cake everyday I'm missing out on please let me know a.s.a.p! tongue.gif

I'm with you all... pahleeeeeeeeeeese Jenny bring back the old chocolate cake. Some days it was the main reason I could stay on track......

[Kortney, some of us plan all of our own menus rather than going with the preplanned menu. Theoretically one could eat the exact same menu everyday. One bfast, one lunch, one dinner, one snack/dessert, plus the fruits and veggies..... that you get at the store. So yes, you could eat chocolate cake every day if you want. BUT JENNY DISCONTINUED THE DELICIOUS DOUBLE CHOCOLATE CAKE wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh]

Btw, do the powers that be read these and listen to us, the ones that EAT this food? If it's about money, I would seriously pay more if they would bring back the old double chocolate cakes and lemon cakes. unsure.gif

What I do is if I want to have choc cake I substuite it for the snack bar, cheesecake, cookie or whatever the dessert is for that day. I was told that was not a problem to do.

This is my second week on JC and I don't buy any of the desserts. I have a vitamuffin - vitatop instead. The deep chocolate vitatop is amazing. It's the top of a muffin...only 100 calories, with 1.5 fat, 9g fiber and 4g protein. I had one every evening and lost 4.4! My consultant told me it fits very well into my plan! Thank God...I'd hate to lose my vitatops!

I have to agree with everyone on this and apply it to the Lemon Cake - when I found it it was such a treat - was on the program for a while before I tried the cake (more a popcorn kind of person) but oh that lemon cake was great and a real treat at night - I asked why the chaneg in recipe and was told that JC is trying to get more "diabetic" friendly - and reduce the sugar content or increase the protein content - or what ever - but unfortunately the new cakes either chocolate or lemon tast like chalk - sorry - I did go out and get the Weight Watcher Lemon cakes and well they taste good but are sooooo small that they are not particularly satisfying. Am trying a few of the WW frozen deserts but so far don't think they work as well as JC's even though the calorie count is about the same as the JC snacks.

For the chocolate treat I have been using the Jello Mouse cups with a dollop of Fat Free redi Whip - pretty good.

MEGA DITTOS RE: THE Double CHoc Cake--- Just like you I would look sooo forward to ending my day with a volumized choc cake with fruit and NF whipped topping. The little cakes are way to small and seem like less than a bite size snack. PLEASE JC BRING BACK THE DBL CHOC CAKE!!! THE NEW cupcakes seem dried out after thawing and just dont make the crave like the old one. I really miss my choc cake and will look elsewhere for a comparable dessert, ie smart ones or weight watchers from the grocery store. dry.gif

I agree with everyone here - the cakes have lost the appeal they had before. They went from being one the tastiet treats on the JC menu to the least desired. Why did you change them?????? If it ain't broke........

AGREED! The new cakes aren't worth the calories. Why would they ruin something that was obviously a favorite? Now if they take my triple Chocolate Cheesecake away, there will be problems! But speaking of cheesecake why is it 150 calories in the old packaging but now is 180 calories? Did they change the recipe? WHY? Or was it really 150 all along and they were fooling us?

I heard that they are having all of the foods retested as in many cases they have changed the suppliers and testing has gotten so much more accurate in the last few years.
As for the cakes - i didn't like then much either until I started warming them - OMG sooo much better! Warmed up they are one of my favortites now.

For me, I guess you can't miss what you didn't have. By time I went on Jenny in Jan the cake was gone, but I did hear about it from my mom.. What I do is freeze mine, take them out an hour before I have them, slice some fresh strawberries nice and thin and one tblspn of Lite Cool Whip smile.gif Oh and I crumble the cake up so it looks like more. By time I'm done I have a nice sized bowl and it's darn good smile.gif I only order one choc cake, one lemon cake, one cheescake and I have them on Friday's and sunday's I only do snacks every other day rotating between the JC snacks and fruit.
