In the mood for burgers but don't want to hike up your daily calories?!? I've found a great alternative! Veggie burgers! Yes, revolutionary, I know. rolleyes.gif But seriously! The free foods can make an ordinary veggie burger taste great!

Experiment mixing different flavors (spices, etc) in with your ketchup and mustard. It will really give your burger something special! I just got back from a place that only sells burgers and fries. (Yeah, I know, it wasn't my idea) I ordered a veggie burger and was so excited to find that they offered a variety of flavored ketchups and mustards! They also had mayo products, but I stayed away from those!

Seriously, give it a try! You never know what new flavors you'll discover!

To some, veggie burgers are an acquired taste, but, I've always loved them! They can be great with some grilled onion and roasted peppers. Right now, I'm on alfalfa/broccoli sprout kick and put them on my JC turkey burger and chicken sandwich. Yum!

Every step forward, no matter how small, is a step in the right direction.

Hey just a little thing I do when I am craving a burger is I go to IN and Out and order a burger (protein style, that's wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun), it's only 220 calories. It's probably more fat than what we should have so I just eliminate my salad dressing that day.

try mixing tomato ketchup with a bit curry powder!

Chose any curry powder you like - spicy or mild - it will give your turkey burger that zzziiingggg!

(It's actually a German thing and very popular... grilled sausage or steak with curry ketchup!)

Go to the Jenny Craig Recipes and search for Mexican Chili-Chees Burgers! So yummy and counts as 2 starch, 31/2 meat, 1 limited free, 1 free. Perfect for a meal on your own dinner. Add a salad and you are set.
And it's real meat!!!!!!
