Hey Everyone,

I haven't posted here in a while and just wanted to update all and encourage everyone to keep going. My wife and I started Jenny Craig on January 1st, I weighed in on December 28th, 2009 at 532.2 lbs and as of May 24th, 2010 I have lost 104.8 lbs!!! being 427.4 lbs and being feeling so close to seeing a 3 in the front is a major encouragement and I am loving my new life. I actually look forward to Monday morning, going into my Jenny Craig office and hanging out with the amazing people at that office here in Raleigh, NC. Don't know about the rest of y'all but we have the best crew here smile.gif

It can be done, you just have to put your mind, heart and body to it everyday. I focus on waking up everyday with the mindset that I can do this, I just have to make the right choices throughout the day and give myself a break, this isn't a sprint, it's a marathon, it's training for life, not dieting for a day...

Someone once told me that every time I make an unhealthy choice I am saying yes to dying early and no to living life to the fullest, and every time I make the right choice I am saying no to handing my life over and yes to living the best life I can possibly have on this earth. It made a lot of sense then, and it makes a lot of sense every day I wake up and think about the choices I need to make to reach the goals I want to reach.

Keep going, you can do it, I'm more sure of that fact today than I every have been before. Give it your everything...

Wow Robert, excellent! I love your attitude, and especially your comments about choices. I am so with you on that: each decision we make can bring us closer to a more healthy self, and there is always another decision.

Best wishes to you and your wife as you continue on the journey. Awesome to share the path with you!

Hi Rocky!

You are doing amazing! I am proud of you.

Robert, wow! Just wow! You are doing incredible and I am so proud of your achievements.
Keep going and keep motivated. I have all of the confidence in you knowing you can
reach your goals! I am only 0.7lbs till I hit the high 190's. Hopefully I will lose some
more inches this month since I lost 6 last month. I just upgraded my membership to
Steve Nash Sports Club Access here for an extra $17/month, but its worth because
I can now do all of their extra optional programs without paying monthly fees.

We shall see what this week holds.

Good luck everyone. Keep going towards your own goals!

Thoughts to Keep in Mind:

Change is the essence of life.

Be willing to surrender what you are.....for what you could become.

It takes longer to lose weight than to gain.
A little weight loss is as great as big loss
.
There may be weeks your weight may go up a little bit,
but don't get discouraged because even though your weight may be up
one week, you may still be losing inches and gaining muscle.

Your weight is only a number. The changes you see overall physically and
mentally are the things that truly matter the most. Don't get fixated on
your weight number.
In other words, your weight isn't the only measure of your success. Put away the scale and you may just see how far you've
really come
.

Keep in mind that each week is different.

Don't stop & stick with it.

"You deserve your fullest life back. You deserve to be able to breathe deeply.
You deserve to be able to walk as far and as fast as you want to walk —
and to run if you wish. You deserve to be able to buy clothing from any
store you walk into. You deserve quality foods to serve yourself — fresh,
filled with flavors and nutrients and textures and color. You deserve to be
proud of who you are — to revel in your strength of mind, body and
character. You deserve to walk the streets and beaches feeling eyes
on you and knowing you look strong and healthy. You are doing something
that many, many people believe they cannot do or flat-out will not do.

I will repeat that….

You're doing something that many, many people believe
they cannot or flat-out will not do.
" - Jason Alexander
