How is everyone preparing for this weekend when we are visiting friends and family for cookouts and BBQs?
One good suggestion I got was to bring healthy foods to the cookout.
Any more ideas?

So ....
Challenge Start Weight - 150.5
Current Weight - 150.5
Challenge Goal Weight - 141.5 (Wow - I love that number!!)
Good luck everyone! Does anyone have any rewards planned for themselves for making this? I bought a beautiful dress for a conference I was at last Friday. With the help of some body shaping Spanx, it fit with a minimal number of lumps and bumps but still nothing that turned heads. If I hit my goal weight, the dress is coming out of the closet and will be worn for a night of dancing sans Spanx. I can't think of the last time I went dancing!!

this is a definite challenge! All of the long weekend celebrations will be done at my house so I have a definite advantage ... Fajitas one night (guests with their version, me with mine), BBQ Chicken the next (me with the cookout chicken - not great but decent way to enjoy together) and finally ribs on Monday. No idea what I'll have as my meal but I'm relying on the fact that I love the smell of ribs cooking far more than I love eating them
For your situation, I would agree with bringing healthy food. Lots of options there ... salad with strawberries sliced up and a vinegrette added (I found a super yummy raspberry and walnut flavored one - wow), Sugar Free jello with fruit slices in it, veggie plate using some of the light ranch dressing as the dip or my new favorite - Brocolli Slaw (brocolli slaw with extra shredded carrots and oranges added with a dressing of orange zest, lemon juice, touch of oil and sugar - yum-ee). I think the more you can load your plate up with the healthy things the better off you will be. Maybe try to fill your plate with the veggies and fruits first and then after eating all of that, serve yourself some meat and a starch. That way you will be nearly full when you start the stuff that can be dangerous (at least it can for me).
Speaking of starch ... I know we have to avoid starching veggies in general. Can we have these types of veggies as our daily starch? I'm wondering about corn on the cob at these celebrations
