Labor Day Challenge

Wanted to see if anyone would like to set up a weight loss challenge by Labor Day. I would like to get below 200 pounds so for me the challenge would be a weight loss of say 20-25 pounds. I think that is a reasonable amount of time without pushing yourself too much.
Anyone wish to join me?

Actually I think 25 lbs is very reasonable as it's 15 weeks from today.
Shall we post our weight weekly? I think it doesnt matter what day our weigh in day is. As long as everyone posts at least once a week their stats and everyone weigh's in on September 1st, right?
My goal is to lose 25.4 lbs by Labour Day (Sep 1), here are my stats:
Challenge Start Weight (CSW) 263.4 lbs
Current Weight (CW) 263.4 lbs
Challenge Goal Weight (CGW) 238 lbs
Cheers Brigit
1. goal: 266 lbs (5%) - May 9, 2010
2. goal: 252 lbs (10%) - July 25, 2010
3. goal: 238 lbs (15%) - ?? Halloween, 2010
4. goal: 224 lbs (20%) - ?? Christmas 2010
5. goal: 210 lbs (25%) - ?? Canada Day 2011

I'm 23 years old (24 in 2 weeks!) and just graduated with my Masters degree. I live in New Orleans, LA and will be moving to NYC in July. I have about 20 lbs left to lose and I totally think this could help me with my motivation and weight loss.
Here's my stats:
Challenge Start Weight: I weigh in tomorrow, so I'll place the start/current weight then.
Current Weight: See above
Goal Weight: 130
I hope this works!

I'm in, okay I'm 30 years older than some of you, but heck I 've taken off 39.6lbs in 16 weeks. So I think I can hang in there with you. So 25 lbs by Labor day sounds good. Now all of you 20 somethings will have to work hard or risk getting dusted by a member of AARP,

I think we can really do 20 or 25 lbs! Obviously it will be challenging.. but that's the whole point, right?!
Do you guys have any vacation planned during the summer? And how are you going to deal with this 'hurdle'?
I am leaving for a week in Prince Edward Island at the end of June. I am taking my dog with me for exercise. And my B&B hosts allowed me to use their fridge and microwave. Apart from bringing some shelf stable items I will eat mostly fresh fruit and veggies and lots of seafood and fish. That should work - at least for one week maintenance!
I am on antibiotics this week and didnt expect to lose but I did!! YAY!
CSW 263.4 lbs
CW 261.2 lbs (loss -2.2)
CGW 238.0 lbs
I hope everyone has a great week - staying on plan and enjoying it!
All the best

My last weigh-in was 175.7. So If I keep up 1.5 loss per week, that would be great.
I think we should also share our challenges and weaknesses so we can prepare each other to face them!
I look forward to hearing from everyone!

BTW - do any of you have suggestions for workout videos that don't kill your knees? The ones that I have are pretty hard on mine.
Today I plan to go for a nice, long, relaxing walk with my poochie and then at 5pm, 9 little girls will arrive for my daughter's birthday party sleep over!
Best of luck to us all!!

I just realized that Labour Day is not on Sept 1 but Sept 6th! Well... that gives us 5 more days! What a joy!
Mmmhh... 15 weeks and 23.2 lbs to go... guess that's possible! 1.54 lbs per week... reasonable!
Hey Carie and Nanci! Great that you are joining!! I think it's going to be an amazing summer for all of us!
Can't wait to see our before and after pics!!!
All the best and have a great weekend!

Thanks Cindy! Yes - I got the idea from another woman who has already 2 bracelets full with charms for her weight loss journey! I found the Pandora bracelet idea very inspiring and it actually reminds me every single day of my accomplishments and that I am in it for the long haul!

What is your reward going to be?
I thought maybe getting pedicures will be my reward - I spend too much money normally so I haven't decided yet, LOL I get my nails done but do my own feet so I thought that would be a good one.
Your vacation sounds great too! We're going to Denver next weekend for 3 days but that's the only trip I have planned so far. Unfortunately there is no microwave in our room so I'll have to be creative while I'm gone and honestly I wish it wasn't so soon on plan. It will definitely be a challenge!

That is 15 weeks from today and my goal is to lose 2 lbs per week so my goal will to be down 30 lbs down by then and only 4 from goal - how exciting!
I'm twice+ as old as the twenty-something year olds too and I agree with what was said - you youngsters have your work cut out for you competing with us "seasoned" gals, LOL
My weigh in is today so here are my stats for the challenge:
CSW: 166
CW: 166
CGW: 136 (LOVE writing that number!)
So should we each just report on our weigh day as to progress?
I love the enthusiasm here and am very excited to join you all on this journey!

Vacation time is definitely challenging! So - are you staying at a hotel in Denver? I know that for babyfood they offer the use of the restaurants microwave or some hotels even have one on the floors. Maybe they have something similar you can use for your meals? I mean.... obviously you have to decide for yourself if you want to stay on plan and lose or if you rather enjoy your vacation without the JC food. You will probably be able to maintain if you stick with the general idea of MOMOs.
Did you already decide on what you want to do?
I told my B&B hosts that I am on a special diet (I might just say some metabolism thing) and they offered to use their own microwave. Really nice!

Had my WI this morning. Down 2lbs this week. So since I really planned to lose 25.6, that means only 23.6 to go. I can so do this, I'm so excited. I buy plants for a garden center, along with all the other duties that go with the job. So far I've ordered 3 truck loads, I'll also put them away. Sort of like living the biggest loser. I have to lose 3.6lbs to get to halfway. I'm hoping to do that this week. Hope everyone has a good week.
