When I first started JC, I didn't really know what to expect. I knew I wanted to lose weight, but I always wanted to lose weight my whole life without any luck. FINALLY, I have found something that works and could not be happier about it!

I was in shock to know that I started at 438.2 pounds. I will always remember this number because it is the number that gives me motivation to continue each week to lose more. I don't want to go back to the unhappy girl with no confidence, and had difficulty breathing.

I thought the hardest part would be the physical aspect of losing the weight, but I realized it was the psychological part that took time to adjust to. Each week was a new milestone I had to reach. I really want to thank the people on this board because I needed that support in the beginning. There were moments I almost gave up on myself because I was so used to failing at weight loss. I did not realize at the time that is why I almost gave up until I finally had an epiphany that I am the only one standing in the way of my goal. I had to tell myself I am a determined woman and I DESERVE to lose weight.

I have met friends on here that did not give up on me when I was planning to. I appreciate that and hope that I can offer support to others who may need that extra push in their weaker moments. At one point, I depended on the forum to get me through each day just to ensure that I stay focused. Now, I finally feel that I do not depend on them. I still love coming on to find new recipe ideas and to welcome new members, but I feel I am able to finally fly on my own.

It was through everyone's support that helped me get to this point and realize I can do it! For that, I THANK YOU! I am focused on my goal and know I will get there.

Rocky - you have been an inspiration to so many of us on these boards. From the beginning, you have been so open and so willing to share your story. I so appreciate that you have kept up with keeping us updated on your journey. You may have come to the boards for help and support, but you have already been helping and supporting so many of us too.

You have done so well and I know you will continue to do so.

Tanya, I'm glad that my story has offered support or inspiration in any way. This journey has had its ups and downs and it's still not over. But I finally feel the confidence I need to keep going and be the supportive one rather than always needing the support. One step at a time...

I'm sure once I start my MOMO, I will need some extra support to adjust to the change. I am now comfortable that I will be able to control my eating and portions now that I have a new relationship with food. I appreciate all the kind words. I know you will continue to do well too!

Hi Rocky,

You will be incredible when it comes times to do MOMOs on halfway. At first for me, it was a little confusing, but its getting a lot easier each time (now doing 3 days a week DOMO for Halfway). The one thing I find helpful is to plan my meals ahead of time and have items ready to use, such as homemade tomato sauce (I make it with no salt added tomato sauce and paste to save a bit of salt and just add lots of nice veggies and spices and then freeze it in tupperware containers where I can then cut the sauce and take only what I need for that one meal), staples (pastas, Multi-Grain Cheerios). That is where my examples post will come in handy for incorporating items on Halfway as it gives you ideas.

JC Weight Loss Tracking:

Thoughts to Keep in Mind:

Change is the essence of life.

Be willing to surrender what you are.....for what you could become.

It takes longer to lose weight than to gain.
A little weight loss is as great as big loss
.
There may be weeks your weight may go up a little bit,
but don't get discouraged because even though your weight may be up
one week, you may still be losing inches and gaining muscle.

Your weight is only a number. The changes you see overall physically and
mentally are the things that truly matter the most. Don't get fixated on
your weight number.
In other words, your weight isn't the only measure of your success. Put away the scale and you may just see how far you've
really come
.

Keep in mind that each week is different.

Don't stop & stick with it.

"You deserve your fullest life back. You deserve to be able to breathe deeply.
You deserve to be able to walk as far and as fast as you want to walk —
and to run if you wish. You deserve to be able to buy clothing from any
store you walk into. You deserve quality foods to serve yourself — fresh,
filled with flavors and nutrients and textures and color. You deserve to be
proud of who you are — to revel in your strength of mind, body and
character. You deserve to walk the streets and beaches feeling eyes
on you and knowing you look strong and healthy. You are doing something
that many, many people believe they cannot do or flat-out will not do.

I will repeat that….

You're doing something that many, many people believe
they cannot or flat-out will not do.
" - Jason Alexander

Thanks Julianna, I think I will be ready when the time comes. My school and work schedule will be a lot less crazier. I won't let anything stop me though... or at least that's the plan, hahaha.
