I have now been a member of Jenny for about 2 hours! I'm so glad to see a senior forum out here as it seems it just gets harder to lose weigh the older you get. I'm curious to see what is working for people and look forward to getting to know everyone!

Leslie - Lazy Zebra

Hi, Leslie :-) Welcome to the support of these forums.
I am 67 and need to lose amost 100 lbs. I am a retired widow who must use a walker because of having had polio when I was young. I am so happy with the way my consultant (also my age) helps me plan activities that I can do. I love the food, particularly since I don't cook and only use my microwave.
The support here keeps me feeling "connected" between visits and my bodyimage device makes me come to the computer and upload info so I automatically check in with the forums at the same time. Hope you hear something you can use. I hope you are checking out many other forum "threads", too.

>Kathryn
Auburn, Washington
SW - 251
CW - 235
Goal - I am concentrating on 5% at a time rather than get caught up in the total lbs so much. I have lost my first 5% in the past two months and am settling in with the improved health feelings at each 5%.

Hey Leslie, welcome our new 2 hour member!! I am not a senior, but I am over 50! I know the issues of losing weight as we age, it gets harder and harder. I guess the most we can hope for us to just be healthy. I joined back in Oct. and I lost 25 pounds hitting my goal back in January. Now I am here just for maintenance and to annoy everyone hahaaa..

Post often and ask lots of questions, there are a lot of nice people here, young and old to help!

I lost 1.6 lbs this week, even with eating out so much for my birthday. Love having so much information available to me in black and white as I go along each day. Now that I know the MM failed on Thursday data, I don't feel so bad about my totals for that day. I knew I took it easy that day after 5 days up and out for appts. in a row. Get too tired when I do that but I didn't think I had "rested" that much rolleyes.gif

Lost 1.2 lbs since Friday's weighin. Weighed in early this week because I am going out to Maple Valley, Washington, to stay with my grandkids while their parents go skiing. I am looking forward to having time with each of them alone during the 5 days. Got all my Jenny Craig food and plan yesterday from my consultant so I feel confident about staying on plan. They also have a Wii with a fitness program and I look forward to having my granddaughter teach me how to use it. My grandson teaches me the other types of video games, although I am not very good at anything like that. My grandson is 13 and my granddaughter is 10 and we love to do crafts, movies, books, etc. together. Can you tell I am excited???
