i am 13 wks pp. started back on jenny. about a wk ago. not doing any exersice at this time . just running around plus working and taking care of home and baby. drinking water. but i havent lost any weight yet. i am not brestfeeding so am on 1200 calories. still havent got my period back yet so i was wondering do you think that would make a difference with my weight . i know my body is still holding on to things but i thought i should still lose something by cutting back calories. i called the doc and they said its fine i havent got it yet . it should be coming soon.. how long did it take for some of you new moms periods to come back and did it effect the way you lost weight.. my baby is 3 1.2 mths old.. ?????

It is normal not to have a period yet b/c of all the hormones and weight loss. This will not interfere with your weight loss. I have known several people who actually took 1 year to get back on track with periods. Just be aware that you can get pregnant even without a period at this time. I had my son 01/30/10 and have been doing half breastfeeding and supplementing with formula. He was my 1st also. I am finding that JC is very convenient. My little man has also been riddled with colic. He is much bigger than your little peanut. He was over 2 weeks early and weighed 8lbs at birth now he turned 11 weeks old today and weighs probably 17lbs. Congrats on your new bundle of joy!

it me about three mos. to get my period after my son was born. i don't think it affected my weight loss because i weighed the same amount before and (a while) after i got my period. my son was about 8 mos. old when my body began to let go of the baby weight.

Hi! It took me about 18 weeks. I'm now almost 10 months PP and they still aren't regular, but I'm also 37 so it might just be my age sad.gif

Well I'm still not regular and my baby is 1 year old. I had my first period 6 months after having the baby.

it is finally normal now. back on the pill and down about 9 lbs from when i posted the first message.. not bad i feel. i am trying to workout and stay on track as much as i can . drinking water, but i know that it is going to be hard since my body is probably still getting back to normal after having a baby

I'm 6 months PP and i still have not got my periods back. With my first son it took 4 months to get it back and another 6 months for it to be regular, and it didn't interfere with my weight loss i just find weight loss a little slower this time round, this is why i'm looking into the JC program

Are you breastfeeding? If so, it can take a long time to get your period back. It took me 26 months to get my period back after my first daughter. Totally normal.

Oh, and yes, you can get pregnant before your period comes back.
