Thanks for the feedback! I decided that I really need to go in and face the music Wed am. I'll let you know how it goes. I think the gain will be closer to 1-1.5 pounds by then because I've been doing exactly what you said ,drinking lots of water and increasing the exercise. And as much as I'd like to skip the WI, I need the JC food in order to get back on track all next week. Skipping could turn out to be a slippery slope. If left to my own devices next week to prepare meals, the gain might get worse.
I am concerned about my ability to maintain once I reach my goal. The last time (4yrs ago) I did JC and lost the weight , I eventually put it back on. So this time I am going to schedule the monthly maintenance appts and continue buying some food.. and hope that the monthly weigh in will keep me in line!
Congrats to you on losing another 4 inches! How many inches have you lost since January? Have you had to buy all new clothes? My JCC hasn't done my measurements, but I had to put some pants away in the attic because they were way too loose to wear. I struggled with giving them away and decide to hold on to them for now... (Realist or Pessimist, I'm not sure!) What are you doing about clothes that are too big?

Your question as to number of total inches since Jan - 21inches down. i have gone down about 1 1/2 sizes. it takes about 20lbs for me to lose a size. I haven't completely cleaned out my closet yet. lots of things are baggy or i just can't wear anymore. With summer around the coner, i'll do a complete clean out and give it all away. I already gave away some of my things. I did keep my largest size jeans. i guess as a reminder of where i was and just really how big i was. Kind of like a smack of reality and unless I keep at it, could be back there. I too had lost weight on JC before - but gained it back with my pregnancies. I didn't make the effort to lose it between my first and second and so its time to lose the baby weight. I was maintaining nicely before i got pregnant - so i'm confident this time around (no more babies for us). But those jeans can be a reminder also.
ok - i've written a novel....hope there's something in there that supports. Good luck tomorrow. i'll be thinking of you!

So...the weigh in news is that I am up 2.2lbs. I am going to stick to the plan this week, drink my water and exercise and it should come off pretty quickly. I have set a new 28 day goal of 5 lbs. My CW is 143....I am going to aim for 138 by May 7th.
PS - I noticed you participating in the fitness challenge. How's that going? What do you do for exercise? I've been doing mostly cardio (walking my dogs and running on the treadmill) but I want to get back to adding some weight training... and I'd like to take a yoga class....I wish I could get by on 4-5 hrs of sleep so that I could add some more time to my day, but unfortunatley I need the full 8 hrs!

as for exercise -yes...i joined the jillian michaels 30day shred challenge. its been a great workout and so easy at just 20 minutes. really no excuse to not do it. so i've been doing that and then i love my kickboxing class at the gym and have been doing that once a week. I have a dog too - so i'll take him out for walks, walk at lunch time at work or hit the treadmill at the gym. My weight has slowed these last few weeks -so i don't know if i'm doing too much, not enough, needing to switch it up - so that's why i thought about the 30 day challenge. I do go to bed late too - usually 11/12pm. not always the best, but just seems to happen that way. I've got little kids, so sometimes i'll head to the gym after they go to sleep so i can still spend time with them but also get my workouts in.
Good luck today with being back on plan. Just keep track and watch the mindless eating (i hear ya on that one). write it all down. make a plan for today and if the mindless eating gets in your way - set a plan for just tonight of what you'll have/do. I like hot tea at night. keeps me from eating since it takes a while to drink. Enjoy your day!!

Did you have your weigh in this week? Just wondering how it went. I hope the new workout is helping. I just signed up for a 5k at the end of the month..its been 3 years since I've run a race but this will give me something else to focus on besides the scale. My weight really didn't change much (down 0.4) over the past month..I think my body kind of settled in at this weight. Sounds like we both need a plateau buster! Keep me posted on how things are going.
BTW - My center introduced some new foods this week. For breakfast - a cheese omelette; lunch: a chicken/potato bowl and dinner: a chicken parmesan. On a scale of 1 to 5 I'd give the omelette a 2, the chicken bowl a 5 (it has mashed potatoes, and being irish I love my potatoes) and the chicken parm, maybe a 3. I think its great that new items come in periodically...sometimes I get a little tired of my usual favorites, with the exception of the chocolate cheesecake which I think I will eat for the rest of my life!
Hope you have a great weekend!

Weigh in wasn't wonderful - i was down .8, but seems i'm losing and gaining the same pound over and over. UGH! i had a bit of a "oh what the <beep>" attitude today and ate this and that. Nothing too crazy, but felt a bit like...i just don't care anymore. but really, i do. My JCC pointed out a few things i thought were ok that weren't from last week. so adjustments begin. I'm traveling this next week - so we'll see. Could be good that i'll have time to workout - but tough to not have control over the food options. I did pack my suitcase with some things incase the food served is not good. We certainly do need a plateau buster. I'm aching for a good 2+ loss. I'm also pms'ing this week, so that may have something to do with it. Each week i think - this is gonna be it....and nope. its hard to keep the spirits up. do you feel the same way?
I did get some of the new foods. I really like the chix and potatos. Looked a bit scary, but thought it was really good. haven't tried the omlett yet - and i would agree on the chix parm...about a 3. Love having new food choices.
I hope your week is going good! won't be able to check into the boards this week. if you want to exchange email addresses, send me a PM. chat w/you soon.
