Hi. This is my second time on Jenny Craig. I LOVE this plan - when I stick to it I loose weight fast!! Summer 2009 in 3 months I lost 30 lbs. I put back on 15 pounds since I went off in September '09. sad.gif I really want this to work again and need MOTIVATION!! so I decided to post this 28-day challenge. I will start 2/21/10 and enter my progress ... I hope you can join me!! We all need Support - the weight does not come on over night and will not come off over night - but if we support each other anything is possible!!

My biggest downfall is I am a stress eater and I seem to be stressed all the time!! I started back on JC one month ago and haven't lost a single pound - the only things I've lost is money!! Need to find alternatives to eating when stressed and not to eat at my desk while I'm working. I am considering a stress ball to do something with my hands (other than typing all day); and to get up from desk at least every 2 hours to take a minnie break.

Please post a reply if you want to join me on the weight loss journey!

You can do this, I started a month ago and have lost 15.2#. I also was a stress eater, decided to change my life style, stress is still there, but instead of eating, I walk. Walk as much as you can. If you need to snack, I snack on baby carrots and drink a lot of water. My goal is to lose 90#, and I know I can do this, if for no other reason then to be here for my loved ones in the future. You can do this, it is important to you, but do not make this another stress, enjoy this for yourself.

Good advice on the snacks. Are the baby carrots considered 'free foods' or do you add them to your daily calories? I can force myself to start liking them without dressing!

Well today is officially day 1 of the 28-day challenge. One obstacle I need to encounter is dinner - tonight my husband and I are going to the local Casino to see a show and are stopping at the BUFFETT for dinner (awgh!) (healthy choices...healthy choices) So I am considering eating the JC breakfast and skipping the JC lunch and dinner - incase I go over my calories at the BUFFETT. In one of my phone counseling sessions the rep told me "it's not the food it's the company". If I stick to that I will do well. I mean, I've gone out to eat before on JC and did well .... a BUFFETT is a whole different ballgame!! Will report on my progress tomorrow.

Todays exercise will be taking the dog for a walk - it's nice and sunny outside; no wind and a comfortable 35 degrees. The poor dog is restless too and needs to get some exercise ... so that's my plan for today.

Also if I can get in my workout video I just purchased "The Biggest Loser Power Sculpt" I"ll be golden.

Thanks for reading!

The baby carrots are free foods. As for eating out, do not stress yourself out over how many calories are at the buffet. You have the experinece to know what is healthy and what is not. Use volume control on your meat and starch, eat lots of the salad and streamed veggies, you can have that piece of desert, just make it small.
One thing I have learned from the JC approach, is now I see what volume control is, I know that the salads and veggies fill me up and now the very small deserts are very satisfying.
You can do this, by having done the JC program before, you have the tools to succed.

Hi,

I'm up for a 28 day challenge!

I joined JC for the second time on Jan 27th and have lost 4 lbs after three weeks but I am slipping up alot this week and I'm worried I'll gain most of it back when I weigh in on Wed.

I think getting involved in a 28 day challenge is just the motiviation I need to stay on track. I really need the daily accountability.

My goal is to lose 15-20lbs. Last time I joined JC, (over 4 years ago), I lost 15 pounds, but it took me five months. I got stuck for about 2 months gaining and losing the same 3 pounds before I finally reached my goal. But, gradually the weight came back on and I couldn't lose one pound on my own, so here I am, back again.

My biggest exercise plan is walking the dogs for an hour each day. I think I need to add some more exercise. And I really need to stick to the plan and stop sneaking in a few potato chips here, a little chocolate there...I cheat a little bit every day and I don't understand why I can't stop. From the posts I've been reading it sounds like most everyone else follows the plan faithfully.

Anyway, I'm glad I saw your post and I'm looking forward to hearing how you made out at the Buffet!

I'm in...I too am a stress eater, unconscious of taste and enjoyment of the actual food I eat. I just started JC but I have tried many other things. I am excited about this as it seems very well rounded. I live near the beach and if it would ever warm up here in FL I could walk, run and bike ride on the beach...I am going for it...WE CAN do this...hang in there ...Play by the rules they are our friends!!!

Stick with it, this really works. I only work out two times a week, 30 min treadmill and 30 min resistance training (light weights but high reps to keep heart rate up). Walk everyday trying to get in at least 7,000 steps. Had my weigh in today and had lost again (18.2 # total) over 6 weeks. To let you know that you can do this, I am 65 years old and work 12 to 14 hours a day in construction. As I stated before I also am a stress eater. JC has help me to think before I eat now, if I must I am eating carrots and drinking a lot of water. 18 down and 40 to go.

I would love to join this 28 Day Challenge. I started JC Jan 1 and have lost 20lbs. I had my first gain today and i'm thinking I need a new challenge/goal. I'd like to be under 190 by the end of March. I know why I gained this week so now I can correct it! Simply stay on plan and get the exercise in!

Thanks everyone

Hi,

I was happy to see some interest in a new challenge. Losing 20 lbs in 2 months is great! I bet you'll reach your goal of losing another 10 in March.

I have a WI tomorrow morning.... last week I was only down 0.2 (and that was because I took off my watch and my hair clip!). I am hoping for better results tomorrow. I've lost a total of five pounds in 4 weeks and I'd really like to pick up the pace a little!

Let's post our results each week and keep each other motivated in between weigh ins!
