Hi I am also new and in my late 50's. Have been on 3 weeks.. struggled some but have lost 4 pounds. The portion sizes are hard to get used to, but the salads definietely help. Having a tough time getting started on excercise ..

I started 5 weeks ago and am struggling ...I am 54 and menopausal with a low thyroid and fybromyalgia. I want sooooo badly to lose at least 50 lbs so I can feel and look better. The last time I lost weight was 1996. I lost 30 lbs on the Cabbage soup diet. That is a diet you can only do once!!! Its just nasty eating cabbage soup all day for 3 months!

I am on week 2 of JC, and so far so good. Love the encouraging posts & success stories. My first weigh-in was -6lbs Hope it keeps going in the same direction if not at the same rate!
