I live in Uptown Charlotte. I haven't joined yet, but will the day after the Super Bowl... we are throwing a big party and I don't want to be on a diet, I am a football fanatic. Anyway, I have never really been on a diet before, I am used to being skinny. But untreated hypothroidism and my Mom passing away and some bad decisions... here 3 years later I found myself more than 80 lbs overweight! I have been in such denial... even though I am nowhere near fitting into them, I still have all of my size 2 clothes in my closet. But I have realized I really need help. I may never reach the size 2 again, but I can't stay where I am now.
I have done some research, and I like Jenny Craig the best from all that I have seen. I have been lurking around on the board for about a week and really like the support I see here. I look forward to talking to all of you, good luck!

Hey Christy! I will be your buddy. I live in Chatham County ( just west of Raleigh). AND I NEED A BUDDY!
I started in July, 2008 & lost about 20+ lbs, then started not going by the plan, but still going to my JC
consultant. I have gone back up (Was initially 253, went to 218, and now am at 232 & AM STUCK!)
I was so upset, that I was going to totally not even do JC anymore, but decided that that was not in my
best interest, so, I called & will be getting the food ordered for me to my home & stlll have a consulant
talk with me. I am happy about this decision & I know that: I MUST NOT GIVE UP...so, let's not give up
together, okay, Buddy? Call me if you need to in the evenings & on weekends. (919) 656-2825.

I am a single mom to a wonderful little boy (he's not so little anymore - 10.5 yrs old and almost as tall as me). I was in a car accident 2 yrs ago that broke my left leg in 3 places. I spent 3mths in a wheelchair and months of rehab to walk again. Anyways... since then I have been watching the lbs attach themselves to my body (over 80lbs in 2yrs!!). The problem was, I just didn't realize how much I had gained until I saw some pics my sister-n-law took at the beach this past summer. It was a major eye opener. I was already overweight to begin with and the additional weight was a nightmare!! So, I finally made the decision to join JC and do something about it.
I am now starting my 3rd week on the program. I am down 11.4 lbs so far.
I would love to keep in touch with ya'll and help motivate eachother. The first week was a breeze for me to get through. The 2nd week was hard. I am blaming it on possible "pms" issues (I would have killed for a reeses cup!!) I am hoping for a better 3rd week.
Christy
**Good Luck to each of you!!!

I was born in New Bern, NC but now live in Alabama. I believe there are more overweight people in Alabama than any other state. I have struggled for the last 15 years trying to get 25 pounds off. I have tried everything weight watchers, nutri system, medifast. Jenny Craig seems to be working for me. I am also exercising. I think the positive reinforcement from others is very helpful. It helped me so much last month when my dad passed away and my counselor was a step ahead of me, letting me know that there would be a lot of good food and sweets brought to our families home. He warned me to keep thinking about where I wanted to be and not to eat for comfort sake. I would love to hear from anybody that is trying to get the pounds off.

I went to the gym today and walked off 100 calories. That took about 20 minutes. I had to leave early b/c I had to get ready for work, but I'm thinking if I can do that every day, that's a pretty good improvement from staying in bed til 10am on the days I go into work late.
Hope everyone is doing well and I hope we can all keep each other motivated and get to our goals!! :-)

I just finished my 4th week and I am pleased to announce that I have lost 15.4lbs my first month!!
I have found that some days are much harder than others. By this I mean that.. some days no matter what I eat -- I feel like I am starving! I try to ignore it and drink more water.. but that little voice in my head keeps yelling at me that I want food. Thank God that Spring weather is here and I can go out and walk. My son and I have been going to Shelly Lake and walking. It is a 2mile track and it keeps me away from the refrigerator!!
Take Care,
Christy

Hello ladies! For my birthday, I decided to join Jenny Craig. I will need to lose my ideal weight to be my ideal weight so I guess I have been eating for two for a long time. I thought I would try one more program or submit myself to surgery. The thought of going under the knife one more time does not appeal to me. I hate hospitals! I am glad you are all here...was supposed to start on my bday but doctor did not send in approval of my diet so started yesterday. I have type II diabetes. I have seen what it does and do not want to be another with complications. At any rate, I live in Raleigh and look forward to losing with all of you.

Do you use the center off of Lynn Rd? If so, who is your consultant? Thanks.
