I just started Jenny Craig last week. Long journey ahead of me. I have been trying to read up on people who have been through the program. Any ideas, tips? How do I stay connected?

Hello everyone! I have always liked Sara Rue and was truly inspired by her weight loss journey on Jenny. That is why I am here today. My name is Lisa and I'm from the beautiful Midwest. Everyone has been such an inspiration here on the forums especially the Rue Crew!

Hey there! I want to be part of the Rue Crew too! Sara is freaking amazing! Beautiful, talented, funny, with a rocking hot body. smile.gif And she seems so sweet and genuine too. I want to sign up to be her BFF! LOL!

I have been doing JC for two months and I joined because of Sara. I first started taking note of JC when Valerie was going through it but really got interested when I started seeing Sara doing it. I have done WW a ton of times and it just never stuck. I had never tried JC before....gosh I wish I had found it years ago!

I read Sara's entire journal and so much of what she wrote resonated with me. I love how JC works on our minds too...that is such a big part of the puzzle.

Nice "meeting" all of you!

Sheri

Hi All,

Just introducing myself. I'm L, and I joined Jenny about 5 weeks ago, though i can't really count the first two weeks, as I was traveling 4 days out of that time (for a wedding) so i wasn't really able to stick to it during that period of time. Yes, yes I should have begun this whole shebang before my cousins wedding, but you know how the inspirations strikes. I decided not to put it off.

I picked Sara as my personal inspiration because she's not like most of the other spokespeople on here. She's always struggled, just like me. Val, Carrie, Nic, they're all amazing women, but the were all thin for most of their lives. I have this theory that "born thin" people have an easier time dieting than the people that were always overweight, even as children. Science does kind of support this, endomorphs, ectomorphs etc., but for all of us it does come down to the calories. But i think there's more psychology to it, too. I've dated thin guys my whole life. During the winter, they'd put on 20 pounds, decide that was enough...they'd run to take off the weight, add a little protein, cut out the sugary drinks/beer, and bam, there it went. Goodbye snow tire. no muss, no fuss. if I put on 10 pounds, it would send me into a shame spiral of comfort food and television. which would usually end up gaining me another 20 pounds.

Watching Sara go through this really inspired me, and showed me that we don't just have to settle for the way our bodies fight us for every pound. I wouldn't have joined Jenny if it weren't for her. So far its working. Nice to meet all of you!

Hello,

Just started JC this week and I am happy I took the first step. Sara's success was a big motivating factor, that and knowing bellydance season is starting. Oh why, oh why did I wait so long-especially after being on steroids the past 6 months??? Anyways, I love Sarah's humor and I am motivated with how she stuck with it. Reading her blogs has given me a new perspective of the consultants role in the process, which I now plan on fully utilizing (vs complying) thanks to Sara.

Anyways, I am hoping to lose 100lbs. Correction, I am GOING to lose 100lbs! Besides vanity, my motivation is to be small enough to enjoy activities more. Less weight will allow me to move more comfortably when I dance. Also- I really want to go back to trapeze school and conquer the catch and release. I was to self concious last time to let go of my trapeze and let the guy on the other one catch me- I mean, nobody is strong enough to do that, right?

Anyways- happy to be here and look forward to hearing everyones success to keep my motivated!

Hi
I just joined Jenny Craig, mostly in part to reading Sara's Blog's. I have always loved her, though she was beautiful regardless of weight, really funny, and quite personable...i mean without even knowing her that all came across and reading what she says on her blogs made me decide to put down the candy and pick up a Jenny Craig menu instead....really excited to begin and so happy to have a place that I can interact too!!!
I am looking to lose 100lbs which is my stretch goal, but really where I should be....so I know I am in for the long haul and looking forward to changing my lifestyle so I can achieve it....so here's hoping my first week goes well!!!! Keep your fingers crossed for me!!!!

Hi every one!

My name is Sarah and I've made it online (finally!) and found the Rue Crew community. I love it! I remember watching "Popular" in middle/ high school and I've always thought Sara is fabulous! What a beautiful person, inside and out... and her sense of humor is fantastic! Thanks for letting me join the crew!

I started in May and I've lost 10lbs! I've also lost 8.5" on my body-- something I never thought would be possible.

I can't wait to meet more of you and get to know about your stories.

Best wishes!
Sarah xoxo

Wow...I feel silly posting this at the end of 2011.

I'm in my ninth week of the program, and I just wanted to say that when I feel down or unmotivated, I watch success stories for inspiration. Sara, your vlogs have served as a pick-me-up on more than one occasion and I thank you for putting yourself out there for all the world to see. I feel that we are similar in many ways, so it helps to see that you have been successful. Strong work! Keep on keeping off! ;)

Thanks for being an inspiration. I've got a long journey ahead, but I am looking forward to it.

Hello L,
Wow...you really stated my reasons for identifying with Sara well. How are you doing with the program? Have you made it to goal?
