I live in western Pennsylvania, I'm in my late 30s, no kids yet, divorced for more than 10 years, and about six weeks ago I ended a long distance relationship with my boyfriend of nearly 3 years.
My longterm goals with Jenny Craig are to get my emotional eating under control, get into the habit of exercising regularly, and to lose around 90 pounds.

I wish you all the success with the program. If I can be of any help, please let me know. I will try to check this forum through out the week, but sometimes the day gets away from me. Talk to you soon. Have a great week.

Kudos to you both on your weight loss and plans for success. My name is Rosa and I recently joined Jenny Craig Jan. 4, 2010. Today is my second day on the food, and it was better than yesterday--I'm actually not hungry! I am 27, single with no kids (unless you include my sister's 10 month old westie), and live in Houston (but I'm a Tennessee gal!) I've been overweight since the second grade (92 pounds at the age of 8), and have tried nearly every diet under the sun. I gained 10 pounds after my move to TX--that was on top of the 20 or so pounds I had been struggling to lose already, and weighed in at 193.6 pounds at 5'9. I want to lose 30 pounds and adopt a new and healthy perspective on food, physical activity, and life. I'm all about finding support and supporting others. I'm here when/if you need me. Best wishes to you both.

I just started the program Tuesday morning. I have been on a weight rollercoaster pretty much since my teen years. Up and down, down and up. This year I will be 50 years old. My goal is to lose 65 pounds. I related so much to what Sara Rue said in her video blog that I decided that was it. Called on Sunday made an appointment for Monday and was on the plan Tuesday morning. Today is my third day and I can say that I have never eaten so much food and it really tastes good! I look forward to talking to the Rue Crew at least weekly with my progress.

Carlene, I did the same thing! Called Sunday, in Monday, started the food Tuesday!
Its go time.
When she said she wants to roll of out bed and throw a t-shirt on and just go I realized I needed to join this group. I have envied Jen Aniston for years because she looks truly gorgeous in a t-shirt and jeans and I just wish I could be that free. Life sucks when you have to try to pull your jeans up over your belly or wiggle them up over your ***.
I wanna start living life to the fullest and feeling happy to be seen in public not curious if people are judging...
So good luck to everyone!

Thanks for the post. I know exactly what you mean. I almost cried when she said about wearing a T shirt and jeans and being comfotable. I want that sooooo bad. With that being said that is truly my goal. I was married for 23 years to a man that criticized me day in and day out about my weight. I never ate in front of him and god forbid if I had a treat. I became a closet eater. I lost some weight on my own in 2007 but unfortunately gained most of it back. I met a great guy in March of 2007 we started dating in September of 2007 and we became engaged in June of 2009. He loves me for me and accepts me for who I am. I have learned through life experiences that I have to want to do it for me and no one else. He supports my journey and I so much want this for me. Good luck to you and I am sure we will continue to talk. I hope your week is going well. I have been really good no issues just a couple of questions here and there. At night though I do have a headache I am sure that will pass. Its prob all the bad stuff trying to get out of my system. Next weeks goal is to walk 20 minutes a day on my treadmill. Talk to you soon.

I'm new to JC. I've always avoided it for $$ reasons, but I realized that I'm worth the money. My dad was pretty successful with the program a few years ago and highly recommended it. I have over 150 lbs to lose. I need to learn to be happy with portion control and excersize. I'm 32 years old, single w/ no kids. I was laid off my job in November, so it's too easy to spend the whole day in the kitchen. Today was my first day of JC food and I'm sooo happy it was good. I did pretty well.
All the Best!

I've gone up 2 dress sizes since hitting menopause a couple years ago. I have 20-30 pounds to lose. I know I have to get active again, but with the FREEZING cold weather in Illinois right now it's easy to avoid. Luckily, my dog, Albert ( a spoiled self-absorbed Yorkie) has reminded me that I do have a warm coat and hat and mittens and there's no excuse not to at least go on a brisk walk with him twice a day.
Thank you, everybody, for your motivating words. And I'm rooting for all of us, and Sara!

I learned this past week that with the 'cold' weather and snow I found myself wanting more comfort foods. It was tough to fight the urge. I found myself eating 1-2 things I shouldn't have. I would have lost more than the 0.8 lbs that registered this morning. I did make it to the gym 2x this week and find that cycling to be a very challenging exercise but I sweat like a 'man' ha, while cycle and I think that is good.
Looking forward to what others have to say
