After being orphaned by the implosion of LA Weight Loss (where I lost 125 lbs), I was starting to gain weight and knew I needed to do something. After doing some research, I decided to start with Jenny Craig.

For several reasons, going to the local centre isnt working out for me. I am at a crossroads now. Trying to decide whether to leave Jenny Craig or go with JC Direct. Since I live by myself, dealing with the deliveries would be a challenge.

Is it possible to transition to Direct and have my records transferred or will I be starting over ?

It's all the same company, so you can just transfer your account. When you call Jenny Direct, the Prgram Director should have access to your account information, but will have to re-enter the information into JD's system. Unfortunately, your weight loss history won't transfer, but your account type and expiration date, etc. will.

As far as deliveries, they don't require a signature and you can arrange with your consultant the specific day you want each shipment delivered.

I hope that helps and good luck! smile.gif

Don't give up! Go with Jenny Direct. You get your own personal consultant (how cool is that?) and that makes all the difference. No driving into the center, no excuses. Just be by the phone at the appointed time. Also, the deliveries are no problem. I live in the country and FedEx just drops them at my front door. I was a bit worried that something would happen to the box, but I've had no problems. Everything is packed in dry ice and stays nice and cold.

I totally agree! JennyDirect is the way to go. FedEx leaves my food for me as well and I have never had any issues. Talked with consultant today by phone, so convienent!

Stick with it, you will be glad you did:)

What is the cost of shipping? I heard it was $60.00 to $65.00 for a shipment. I think that is way to high

Shipping is $20 from Ontario to Alberta, Canada.

Only problem is they can't ship frozens to me.

I will have to stop by a center the next time I'm there (over an hour drive) to buy some frozens to supplement what I have.

Hi, i was wondering about the food they ship, i tried nutrisystem and i hated how all of their food was dry, and had no flavor because of the shipping. So, i was wondering if the food you get to your door, like the food they have at the center, like tv dinners. And are frozen?

I've done both JC and NS and Jenny Craig is MUCH better in the taste and quality of the food. They do have frozen foods...lots of them, and there's honestly only a few that I don't care for, and I wouldn't care for them even if they were cooked at a restaurant (ie salmon LOL). You do have to pay for shipping, but you actually get 2 shipments in the month (every 2 wks) and you only pay the shipping fee once. They leave it on the doorstep, packed in dry ice, and you just get it when you get home smile.gif. You even get to change consultants if you don't mesh well with one. You can change as often as you want. I changed once and am loving my new counselor - she's wonderful! Good luck with the decision smile.gif

If you pay for 4 weeks at a pop you pay the $65 shipping fee only one time for those 4 weeks. Your first payment, two weeks worth, will include the $65, your second two weeks delivery will be just for the food. If it were $65 each delivery I'd be crying! I look at it like this, $16.25 per week for shipping. I also look at it like $16.25 without having to drive to a center and take more time than the 15 minutes per week on the phone with my JCC. My time (and cost of gas) is well worth $16.25 per week. Another thing to keep in mind, if you order 2 weeks at a time, you WILL be charged $65 every two weeks. It's cost effective to order 4 weeks. They don't actually charge your card for the second batch until it ships, which is interesting when you look at the big picture. The only real difference is that you pick your food for 4 weeks at a time. I customized my menu for 2 weeks and had my JCC duplicate it for weeks 3 and 4. The bill shows up with what was charged for that delivery then it shows the pending charge for the following delivery!

They say the food being packed in dry ice can sit out for up to 8 hours! My delivery shows up in the morning between 9 and 10 a.m. so I asked that it come on my day off.

Best of luck with Jenny Direct! I love it!!!!!

I have had mostly good luck with my shipments, one came super late in the day after a heat wave, and was not packed with much care or dry ice... smoosh city (but they replaced my damaged items)... another never came on my assigned day, so I called customer service and they promised it would arrive 2 days later... then, guess what, next day it shows up... and another showed up the next day. They could only charge me once since it wasn't my fault, I was able to keep the shelf stable stuff out of the duplicate... but the frozen went to family members, I just couldn't make room for all of it. For the past weeks all my orders have been perfect, beautifully packed and ice cold on arrival. I noticed they have slips in them indicating who packed them now, with 2 signed names, so things must have been improved over at distribution in my area... I am guessing they didn't want to send me any more free food. tongue.gif

Too bad you missed out on the "NO EXCUSES" 12 Week Promo, because I got my minimum $105 orders for 12 consecutive weeks (starting in June and ending with my recent order), I now get FREE SHIPPING on all my future orders... *happy dance*

Hopefully they will run another promo like that again in the Winter months! smile.gif
