Is it alright to move different menu times around. Ex: If I should have 1 fat at lunch, can I instead have it as an after dinner snack? Or, say instead of having 1 fruit in the morning and one for after lunch snack, can I combine the two into one larger snack? I am a school bus driver so sometimes, especially in the mornings with a 1 year old in tow, it is just not reasonable to have a big breakfast. Thanks all!!

You may rearrange the foods in any combination that suits you. Just consume everything in a 24-hr period. No rules on what when. Eating every 2-3 hours is best for your body long-term, so it's a good habit to get into.

I heard its best to have a protein with a fruit for snack to even out sugars but would have to ask your counselor for sure.

Thanks a lot all!! I will check with my consultant to see what they say, to be sure. I figured it wouldn't be a huge deal. It is nice to know that I can, say, take my 1 fat from lunch and put it with my milk from last snack and treat myself to a chocolate milk! wink.gif
