Is anyone starting a new challenge any time soon? I'm thinking of maybe the 10 lb. in 6 wk. one or something similar? I need something to help me stay motivated.

I would be up for that. I'm new to the program and have not participated in any challenge, but desperately need to lose some weight.

Okay, great! Let's give others a chance to join if they want, and we can start tomorrow, the 28th. Six weeks will be up on October 9th. I can't wait to be 10 pounds lighter! We can check in at the end of every week and let each other know how much we've lost towards our 10 lb. goal.

In another forum, I was asking about this same thing.

I suggested maybe starting a "Columbus Day" challenge. If Columbus sailed in 1492, round 14.92 up to 15 lbs, so maybe 15 lbs by Columbus Day (Oct 12, 2009).

Anyone interested?

I don't think losing 15 pounds by Oct. 12th is realistic for me, but thanks for asking. I think I'm going to stick to the 10 in 6.

I love the columbus Idea, but ya, 15 is way to much pressure, nice but don't want to setup for failure.

i use sparkpeople for my challenge, actually i am team leader for all things biggest loser, i have a pedometer challenge that just started this week, using the JC Walk pamphlets they have at the office... has anyone seen them "Walk Hawaii mountain", "Walk the Dome at Yosemite" , "walk lake tahoe", anyhow if you want to join check it out. soon I will have a Biggest loser challenge to co-inside with when the show starts for percentage of weight loss.

Allison,

Tomorrow works great because I weigh in then. 10 pounds in 6 weeks. Whew. I need that challenge. Otherwise I won't push myself. This will be good for me! I'll get on here tomorrow night after my weigh in and let you know how it goes. I'll start there.

Thanks for doing this! This is great!

Okay, great! I think this will help me stay motivated. I've already weighed myself for the day, so I know where I'm starting. Good luck!

I'm new to this; have my first appointment Monday July 31st, but would be interested in starting this off with a 10 lb goal.

I would love to join this challenge. It has taken me two months to lose the last 5 lbs. I hope this will help to motivate me in getting serious regarding my weight loss. I weight in tomorrow so I will start then.

I'm excited to see everyone joining! Hopefully we will be able to help keep each other motivated. I just rejoined last week and lost 2.5 pounds my first week. I was really hoping for more, but I'll take what I can get.

Hi, everyone! Okay...I weighed in today. I knew it was going to be bad. Last week was really bad. But now I have this new challenge to keep me motivated. I am going to make some signs to keep posted. Ten pounds doesn't sound as bad to me as the larger amount that I need to lose, so I can keep ten pound signs around me to remind me to take those few extra steps or do those few extra things.

This is great!

You can go to www.tickerfactory.com, follow the instructions, and then paste the html code onto your signature settings here.

I like your Jillian Michaels quote!
