I think it would be really great if the menu planner tallied calories. I mean, I am on a 1200 calorie diet and after planning my menu and any "extras/limiteds", soupitizers, etc.. it would be great to know what that adds up to at the end of the day and for the week. It could help track progress problems too.

I completely agree! There are a lot of days that I don't get all my food eaten and I'd like to know where I fell short on amount of calories (maybe even finding a way to easily and guilt free adding in that glass of wine I really want in the evenings!)

It's a free site. Most foods are in the database, even Jenny Craig foods if you search the database that members have entered.

So what was the outcome? Does a days allocation add up to 1200? or more or less?

I do menus on my own, sometimes I come in over, sometimes I come in under. Just depends on your combo of food. I think if you do the planned menus, there is more consistency.

I agree, I wish the menus would include a calorie counter! I use the personalized menus since I'm a picky eater and breakfast is hard to do any frozen foods since I don't have much time. I just find it a lot easier to plan my own; but I would like to know which foods should be paired-up to account for the 1200 without going over.

The planned menus come in at around 1230 cals per day, depending on your fruit and veg choices.
