Hey Moms rolleyes.gif

I am glad they created a forum for new moms, so identified in here smile.gif as my headsubject says I have an 8mo baby girl who is my treasure smile.gif and I also have 35 lbs to lose, sometimes I feel hopeless about this. I like JC cause they helped me lose 30lbs before my wedding and now they are back plus 5 more smile.gif well we have to stick to the basics and I sure didn't do my job after the wedding.

I Live in Chicago, close to the HIP mall and I wonder if any other mom is in the same shoes, I am also a part time student, trying to pass some exams so I can get my professional license in the medical field. I am a Latin woman so if anybody feels identified with me plz join me.

I plan to start my plan tomorrow. JC is a very easy program to follow cause you can eat pretty much of everything. I just need to add workouts and keep it steady.

I plan to post my stats from tomorrow.

Hang in there moms.

I have a 3 1/2 month and this is my 2nd time on JC. I have been on it for a month at a high cal intake because breast feeding/pumping, and I am just maintaining my weight, but I feel like my appetite is starting to be in better control. How are you doing now?

Hi there! I have a 7.5 month old and 35 pounds to lose! We've already got something in common! Unfortunately, I live in Oregon, so not too close. smile.gif

I'm on day 10, and I figure it will take me at least until the end of 2009 to lose it. Partly because I'm getting older, and partly because I have trouble fitting time in to exercise. (I work full time, plus have a toddler in addition to the infant.)

Do you have a time frame in mind for your weight loss?

Hi There!
I have a 7 month old son and 30 lbs to lose! I just joined last week and had my first weigh in today....lost 4 lbs!! I'm so excited and truly hope I can stay motivated through this journey. I bought a pedometer today and plan to wear it daily. It's tough finding the time to workout b/c I also work full-time. I'm trying to find the energy to get up earlier in the am and go walking....I think I can, I think I can smile.gif

Don't feel badly ladies...I have a one year old and 60 pounds to lose! I was 30 pounds overweight before I got pregnant and share the same 30-ish post-pregnancy pounds that you do. I've tried other programs before AND after being pregnant but this time...I joined for a year. I knew that anything short term was unrealistic and would just make it easier for me to quit. It can be quite an expense but I've decided that you can't put a price on good health! Not to mention...I'm worth it!! Looking forward to sharing our successes!

Hello Mommies! I have a two year old and an eight month old. I just started Jenny Craig this week. It is hard when you feel like you have to eat everything your toddler eats in order to encourage his appetite. I am 147 lbs. and my goal weight is 126 lbs. I just stopped nursing, so I feel ok about eating prepackaged foods.

Hello There !

I am 245 pounds and want to loose 75 pounds and want to be at 175 and that is my weight before I got married. I hope to fit into my wedding gown again and take pictures but professional pictures this time!

I have four kids, three are in school and one is 12 month old, so my day is busy. I have to get up at 7 am to do any exercise. I am doing good I think and hope I lost a pound or two. Is not easy at gatherings but if I slip then I exercise extra the next day. I hav only been on it for five days and today I have to go and weight myself.

I am a mom to a 15 month old boy...he's my love. We were not planning on starting a family so soon but we wouldn't have it any other way. I am on week 2 of JC and I am definitely struggling to get my "activities" in. I work fulltime and my husband is in dental school so I feel very much like a single mom sometimes. Reading these posts has really helped me realize I am not alone in this struggle. I have never had to lose weight before in my life and after having my son I found myself needing to lose 45 lbs. It took me a year to lose 25 on my own and my first week on JC I lost 7. Hopefully I can stick to this because I really just want to be back into my old close again. It's been 2 years since they have fit I think it's time! I think what has been hardest is that I feel like I am doing this alone. My friends are all fit and none of them have children so I feel like they don't understand what I am going through. Keep these posts going...they are all I have to help me stay motivated! biggrin.gif

Hey all!

I am the proud mother of a 9-month-old darling daughter. I also have 50 lbs to lose: 30 from my pregnancy, 15 I got after I got married, and 5 I picked up in high school somewhere. I have rarely exercised regularly and I have never felt I "needed" to until after I had my baby. I actually immediately lost all my birth weight right when she was born, but I gained it all back in a short period of time. I think my body was too used to being 30 lbs heavier.

This is the first weight-loss program I have ever tried in my life and I will say it is going okay. I recently finished a 28-day challenge that didn't really change my weight, but got me into the exercise habit a little better. I have always been so set on exercising in the mornings, but I am not a morning person and so that always kept me from exercising. The only time I could find to exercise for this challenge was really late at night, usually right before I want to bed. Someday, I'll move my exercising into the morning, when I figure out the whole sleep thing, but for now, at least I am getting into the habit! That is what is important!

Another fun thing is that my husband and I are doing this together. We're not very good at motivating each other by ourselves, but since I've been more motivated through that challenge I did, I have been doing better which has motivated my husband.

Question: does anyone know of any challenges that wouldn't be too late to join or any that people will be starting soon? I would like to always be in a challenge to help motivate me.

Thanks everyone! Happy losing!

I have a 7 month old son and a 3 year old daughter. I was with JC before 2 months before I got pregnant. I dropped off, and returned just last week. It is definitely more difficult this time around with 2 kids.

I have 47 pounds to lose this time (68 last time...Yikes!) to my goal weight of 130.

I am looking for an online buddy to share my JC ups and downs with. If anyone is in the Honolulu area, I may be open to walks and playdates, too.

Good luck, Mommies!
..._~**BRANDY**~_...

"I WILL DO THIS!"

Started JC 05/2008, 198 lbs ... Left JC 07/2008, 186 lbs ...
... Restarted JC 11/7/2009, 178.8 lbs ... Goal Weight: 130 lbs

Wk 1: 177.4 lb (-1.2 lb LOSS)
Wk 2: 177.0 lb (-0.4 lb LOSS)

Hi! Wow! Look at all the new moms here! It's nice to know I'm not alone!!! I'm typing this now because I would be eating if I weren't typing! I have a 5 month old and a 4 year old! I weigh 195lbs (OMG) and my goal is 140ish, 135 would be nice, but I want to be realistic here! I'm not gettin' any younger! I work 40 hours a week, four days out of the week, so I have long days where I'm gone about 11 hours of out the day making it hard to find time to exercise those days. But I do need to increase my activity! Anyway, let's keep each other motivated! We can do it! We can be healthy and slim!!!!!!!

I have to say that I'm not a new mom but am a mom of two children and I wish I would have found JC after the birth of my first child, I gained 75 lbs with him and never took it off, then I gained even more with my second and it never came off and then I kept gaining and gaining and now I'm here.

I'm kinda jealous that I didn't find this program when I was a new mom, I might be where I want to be right now, I'm so happy for all of you ! And very proud too that you would start now while the kids are young ! Congrats to all of you young moms !!!

Hi, I'm a not so quite new mom. My youngest is 16 months old and I also have 2 older sons. I still haven't taken off all the baby weight and I was about 30 lbs overweight to begin with. I just rejoined today. I was a member when I found out I was pregnant and went off. I'm hoping I can lose this weight and keep it off! I need too so I have the energy to keep up with her and hey take her to the beach this summer and not be totally embarassed in a bathing suit.

There is still a lot of junk in the house from the holidays, I think I'm going to have my husband throw it all away...he'll just love that! Anyway maybe we can all motivate each other.

Hello every new mom or just plain old mom--

I am a new mom... I have a 6 month old, and i have about 45-50 lbs to lose, but about 13 lbs of it is post baby weight that has not come off after i had him. I was doing fine, but then i started eating more thinking--hey i breatfeed the cal. are ok--wrong. i ate way more and now i can not stop. But the good news is i am back on jenny (starting on friday, jan 1st) and looking forward to shedding those lbs. I am glad to read that there are other moms in the same situation i am in.

I weight in at 178. My goal is to weight 155. For those of you who have time warner cable direct tv offers FREE exercise dvds such as biggest loser jillian micheal, etc. Just go to channel 999 then go to the sports and exercise tab, then hit the exercise tv tab. It really helps when u are on a tight bugget and tight on time. I do these exercises in the morning when everyone is asleep. Also remember its ok to have me time. Daddy or grandma or even a really good friend can look over your children for an hour while you exercise.

Hi New Moms, I'm a new mom myself, I have a 10 month old baby girl. I gained 50 lbs during my pregnancy, but I was overweight before my pregnancy so I have a total of 97 lbs I want to lose. So far I've lost 13lbs in the JC program, its my first time and I was really reserved about it at first.

I had dieted on the Atkins plan before and love it because I'm more of a meat person and the weight melted off (30 lbs in 1.5 months), so I was skeptical about doing JC. My parents insisted that I join, afraid that I might never lose the baby weight and some. I love the results but really can't take the slowness of losing 1 lb a week. Considering how much the program costs, I would really like to lose more, then again I can't blame anyone but myself. So right now its a love and hate relationship.

The week I'm introducing exercise into my life so hopefully it goes by faster and more fun.
